Has anyone ever been on there?

And do they really think they're going to gain popular support by preventing millions of people doing their Christmas shopping online (as a postman, they have my full support! :P ) Myself, not had any problems online. :dunno:

It's also getting to the stage where it's getting boring AND ridiculous. They could put practically anything up. Japan is secretly reconstructing wallaby DNA to create a nuclear tiger... yeah right! Botswana is selling blood diamonds to the CIA to fund their own underground space program... pfft! The Cardinal of Sao Paolo is actually the son of Rudolph Hess and an alien... inconceivable! David Cameron said that Nicholas Sarkozy "smells of wee and poos and I'm better at tiddlywinks than him and Angela Merkel combined (which incidently is a possibilty as the CERN project is just a cover for the European Parliments attempts to create a super-euro-politician to unite Euro and lead it to world domination)

I've read quite a bit of the stuff they have put up, the video they released a while ago was pretty bad. Looked remarkably like Call Of Duty gameplay aswell.

I like their office,

I've never been on their website but I have read a few things about key people involved and from what I read I'm sure that they are part of a hidden agenda involving some of the worlds elite.

That's all I'm willing to say on the matter!

Their base does look very snazzy though.

yep;

contolled leaks , and It'll give them ( the military industrial complex ) a green light to shut down websites through the Patriot Act., homeland security etc

That's all I'm willing to say on the matter too !

I'm not usually 1 for conspiracy theories but I reckon there might be something in that.

I'm shocked there is not more about this on here.

Asange is definitely someone who is actively courting the limelight.

I still cant decide whether this is just a cyber attack on the USA or if this organisation have a wider agenda.

One this is for sure, the greatest creation of my lifetime will be the internet.

For the first time in the modern age anyone can have a legitimate platform, and anyone or anything can we exposed without any bias.

We live in exiting times.

Wikileaks are brilliant. Anything that promotes transparency in Government is good in my book.

Up to a point.

I think they overstepped the mark when they published information relating to infrastructure (such as where transatlantic communication cables arrive onshore). If you remember 2 years ago how something like 10 countries lost internet connections when a transocean cable got accidentally cut, then I think it's unwise to publish something as it could be a securtiy risk.

Everything else is fine, albeit a litte boring as it's nothing new. In fact, i can't think of one thing from the recent publications that hasn't been reported on at some stage either on the internet or in the media. It's just it's getting more credence now because it's on wikileaks.

With regards to all the conspiracy theories of controlled leaks, from other posters, I think you've been listening to that stable of reliable information Ahmadinejad.

It could be coincidence but not long after N Korea was shelling S Korea it was leaked that if it came to war China wouldn't step in. The shelling has now stopped. I'm no expert on international relations but that seems a very fortuitous leak.

According to reports in the press this week, North Korea are making preparations to test a third nuclear weapon, so I'm not sure the coincidence is there.

I also don't think Bradley Manning, the soldier facing a ridiculous amount of time in prison is a willing conspirator, nor is Mr Assange, another facing time and the threats of the US government. Nor are intelligence services around the world particularly happy that information has been leaked. I think it's just a rogue soldier supplying information to a willing publisher.

I don't think the leaks have told us anything new, all they have done has confirmed many of our suspicions and has given us some insight on how certain agaencies and department thinks!!

In terms of conspiracy, I don't think there's much in the leaks that has changed the world and actually has only embarassed governments and agencies!!

If you read novels with conspiracy theories at the heart of their plots you'd know that things like these are given to useful idiots who don't realise they're being used.

But it's only a silly theory and 99.9% likely to be bollox. :D

It must be PC World. Who else so dastardly would give Mr Manning a USB stick with which to download all the information?

Wikileaks so far seems very concentrated on the West.

I nearly pissed myself when the Russian government accused the British government of censorship in the arrest of Asange.

After all... they murder anyone who says anything they dont like over there... far more civilized!!

Surely the ONLY important thing in this whole story, is the way the governments have taken this mans freedom and we are going to stand by and watch as his.. and all of our rights will be destroyed.

Are the leaks just western related or does the website also leak documents from countries like Iran and Yemen?

.............................and by western I don't mean are they about Jesse James

There are definitely some leaks related to Yemen, but not sure about Iran.

There are a few relating to Iran.

- Saudi Arabia urging America to attack Iran and stop it acquiring nuclear weapons. The Saudi diplomat reportedly telling his US counterpart to "cut the the head off the snake."

- There were leaks relating to Iran's involvement in Lebanon using the Red Cross/Red Crescent to get revolutionary gurads into the country there.
