Daggers Posted 17 December 2010 Posted 17 December 2010 Now I realise that starting a thread with this title will have given poor little Walkers a real fright. It's not about the bunch of trees in a place you've never heard of, poppet, it's OK. Amazon Online: Bastard****ers. With a week to go for Xmas, the final part of my kids' presents have vanished after going to Swansea. It's now over a week overdue and they've refunded my money and told me they can't get any other order to me in time. So I'm going to have to go to a fvcking toy shop this weekend. A mother in the playground said she's had the identical problem with them. Anybody else here as well?

Asha Posted 17 December 2010 Posted 17 December 2010 Yep, most of my christmas shopping not arrived. That'll teach me for being lazy.
purpleronnie Posted 17 December 2010 Posted 17 December 2010 Can't remember having a problem with them, but I would order well before christmas, they must deal with millions of items, chances are there will be problems.
DB11 Posted 17 December 2010 Posted 17 December 2010 Had this problem with my dads present, but it came two days ago (a week and a bit over due)

The customer servies guy said he can't do anything until 24th dec, where he can give me a refund!! One order was trackable, rang royal mail, and the fooking parcel is in la la land!! Worse still is Shudoo, ordered some shoes over a week ago, rang customer services and emailed them, and they just haven't got a clue!!
FoxyPV Posted 17 December 2010 Posted 17 December 2010 I ordered several things through Amazon Prime and half the things came over a week and a half late and still waiting on 2 parcels. They've offered me a refund which I'm taking. I'm not that fussed if they don't arrive by xmas as me and the mrs don't really celebrate it.
Daggers Posted 17 December 2010 Author Posted 17 December 2010 I've done my Xmas shopping online every year at the beginning of December - never had a problem before. I guess loads of others must be doing it too this year.

I figured my kids wouldn't have been over the moon with a refund in an envelope - they'd start to question the existence of Father Xmas and that'd just snowball into them tearing apart the entire fabric of their world.

Kids see through adult lies and even as you rue your e-commerce ineptitude, they have ordered all your presents from Amazon.de with your credit card.

Daggers Posted 17 December 2010 Author Posted 17 December 2010 Really topic worthy? With 120 views and an exchange of experiences taking place, probably more worthwhile than your post.

I am Rod Hull Posted 17 December 2010 Posted 17 December 2010 Ordered 2 identical items November 30th.. One came within 5 days, the other took 2 weeks.. Was getting worried tbh but all is fine. I started my Christmas shopping in August btw Im sure that its just the volume they cant cope with. Lets face it, who`d have thought there would be a rush at this time of year.. O_o
StanSP Posted 17 December 2010 Posted 17 December 2010 Some guy on the news in Glasgow clearly doesn't have much logical sense. He says that there's no snow around his area and hasn't been for a week. I don't think he realises that the deliveries actually have to come from somewhere (where there could be major disruption) and not every delivery just magically appears on your doorstep.
Zingari Posted 17 December 2010 Posted 17 December 2010 just been on telly how the backlog has occurred , can't really fault anyone , it just seems like an unfortunate set of circumstances
Mee Posted 17 December 2010 Posted 17 December 2010 If it comes to the worst, you can always tell your kid's that their presents are too heavy and amazing for Santa to carry at the moment so he may be a little late
