iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 2 January 2011 Posted 2 January 2011 Alex Smithies Keiren Westwood Scott Loach Matt Mills Jimmy Kebe Danny Graham Steve Morison Ebanks Blake - Don't think he's played that much ? Could be wrong.
sdb Posted 2 January 2011 Posted 2 January 2011 He said we'd have a good chance if we got promoted. But why he posted it in here now I'll never know. good spot, my bad
Jackirius Posted 2 January 2011 Posted 2 January 2011 More chance of Wymesy getting laid than us getting Michael Bradley.
Jackirius Posted 3 January 2011 Posted 3 January 2011 I don't want to buy big names, i want to make big names.
cairnsy Posted 3 January 2011 Posted 3 January 2011 Ronaldinho on sale for £8m, bargain It's actually 6.8 even better. If clubs were willing to sell I'd want Billy sharpe from Doncaster and adil terrabt from qpr. But I can't see us getting any proven good championship players, just premership rejects and players who are past it

And itsss 1-0 to Blackburrrnnn, Ronaldinihooo is the scorer.
ThatGuyDave Posted 3 January 2011 Posted 3 January 2011 I'd say Alex Smithies would be agood choice for a Goalkeeper, solid with bags of potential. Definitely need a good full back each side aswell, possibly Stephen Kelly and Lee Wallace? Central midfielder, would love Joe Allen but I doubt we'd get him, perhaps Aron Gunnarsson would be more concievable? Little ambition at Coventry etc Winger - Chris Eagles? Big name, but managerless Burnley? Might be dreaming but I think there's potential for it. Another maybe could be Darren Ambrose, class player stuck at a failing club. Won't get Adam Hammill, definitely bound for prem in Jan I reckon. Finisher maybe David Goodwillie, outside the box possibly Danny Koevermans? Proven scorers both, Koevermans not making it into the PSV side much lately, (2 starts, 7 sub apps this season). So yeah, they're my outside guesses, wishful thinking of course but I like to think they're not especially unreasonable.

I hope Sven watches this forum Nobody take note of my philosophical last post?
ThatGuyDave Posted 3 January 2011 Posted 3 January 2011 Some very good suggestions there... I hope Sven watches this forum Nobody take note of my philosophical last post? It's a great statement mate, directly relates to Kingy and hopefully in the future Tom Parkes etc but there is an issue. While I would love to see some youth players get a shot, l think we should wait until we're solid in a good position and can afford to take such risks.

Yeh i agree with you but i can't see us getting into that position off the backs of players like (just a few names which are being thrown around) Izzet, Beckham etc... I would much rather have a player who is young and soon to hit their prime, Hoolahan, Sharp etc, and will be hungry to improve and make an impression on the club. Thats how we will get their. Or we could just buy Beckham, Given, Keane etc and get there probably.
ScouseFox Posted 3 January 2011 Posted 3 January 2011 Commons could happen, he's out of contract in the summer, and if he's to leave Derby, he doesn't want to move house. Doubt he'd go back to Forest, so hello, guess we'll have to take him then...

Guest Basildon Fox Posted 3 January 2011 Posted 3 January 2011 He would fit well into our Premier League squad. He would fit in a shit load better as a left midfielder than Paul Gallagher.
themotivator Posted 3 January 2011 Posted 3 January 2011 remember when we were linked with him before he moved to derby. khunt doesnt know whats best for him. would obviously have him in a heartbeat.
Haydos Posted 3 January 2011 Posted 3 January 2011 From a derby forum: Pretty much bob on with what everyone has said, I would be delighted to hear him signing a new contract but a stated by many players, the board and the management.. we're in no rush to do anything, the plan to take this club up may take 5-6.. plus years which time Commons won't be in the side, he strikes me as a player that as soon as he hits early 30s (32/33) he'll struggle to cut it, down to injuries..etc so if I was him, I would get my agent to try and get some interest from the premiership clubs for instance, wigan..etc if that doesn't work then a championship club with a bit of dosh and some ambition for instance Leicester, QPR..etc infact put my feelings for Derby aside, I would be tempted by Leicester, they have a great set up and a board that is willing to invest in the side, curtis davies and chris kirkland brought in on loan with view to permanent in the boards first few months? shows some real ambition, meanwhile we have to be contempt with lower league players that aren't in the limelight because players like austin, le fondre despite being in the lower leagues still out of our price range. http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/showthread.php?t=4536&page=35 They don't seem to know if he'll be staying or not yet. This is the type of player we need to build a solid Championship squad that has a chance of promotion. Several prem teams would take him and he's a step up on what we have. If the Sven and the owners have ambition they need to take advantage of players in this situation.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 3 January 2011 Posted 3 January 2011 Mmm the thought of having Kris Commons in a Leicester squad. Although if Sven can sign someone better...
teblin Posted 3 January 2011 Posted 3 January 2011 Commons would be good. Though playing for all 3 east mids clubs(if he came here) we show a lack of loyalty and he has injury issues.
Stevosevic Posted 3 January 2011 Posted 3 January 2011 Not bothered about loyalty or playing for rivals, if we gave him a 3 year deal and he helped us get into the premiership next season....he can do what he wants.
MikeyT Posted 3 January 2011 Posted 3 January 2011 Ronaldinho on sale for £8m, bargain Wrong it's 8 million Euros, so 6.8 million pounds here. Sven sign him up!
RoyFox Posted 3 January 2011 Posted 3 January 2011 We need 3 more signings A Winger to replace Gally when he's out of sorts - KRIS COMMONS massive shout - we can then play Dyer on the right Good LB to alternate with Bruno - Can Mee play LB? Strong physical forward to feed Vassel/Waggy - Pity Bednar isn't living up to hopes (Yet) - Danny Graham seems the best option, very unlikely to get him with the form Watford are in though
Jackirius Posted 3 January 2011 Posted 3 January 2011 Tottenham will let striker Robbie Keane, midfielder Niko Kranjcar and winger David Bentley leave the club but only if the trio fetch £29m in the transfer market. http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Transfer-news-Tottenham-holding-out-for-29m-for-want-away-trio-of-Niko-Kranjcar-Robbie-Keane-and-David-Bentley-article662553.html
I am Rod Hull Posted 3 January 2011 Posted 3 January 2011 Anthony Pilkington just scored a cracker. Anyone else watching Hudd vs Wednesday, there seems to be a few good players for both teams, Jermaine Johnson has lighting pace
