David Guiza Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 An athletic target man and a strong, preferably experianced, centre half would be top of my list. Along the lines of Cameron Jerome and Steven Taylor but obviously not those two players.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 I get the feeling Sven is just going to sign Prem reserves. I trust Sven though An athletic target man and a strong, preferably experianced, centre half would be top of my list. Leicester_Loyal Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 Celtic manager Neil Lennon is eager to bring out-of-favour Aston Villa defender Richard Dunne Source: BBC Transfer Gossip If Celtic want him, I can see him going there. Decided to post this here as Dunnes name is being mentioned as a possible transfer target.
Jackirius Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 In seriousness I think we should go for Liam Lawrence, Andre Bikey (won't happen in a month of sundays I know) and Danny Graham. Liam Lawrence is a good shout.
Jackirius Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 Think we should go for this team. Speroni Naughton Hobbs BertrandTarrabt Hoolahan King Whittingham LawrenceSharp Owen
lee(lcfc) Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 experianced centre half to boss the rest of the defence around and a goal scorer
teblin Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 Naughton would be a start. A solid championship centre back. One with no frills just defends. A midfielder or winger who can deliver from set peices and a striker.
harryboi72 Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 GK:Adriano Basso RB:Kyle Naughton CB:Wes Morgan CB:Ashley Williams LB: Bruno Berner CM:Andy King CM:Richie Wellens CM:Gylfi Sigurdsson RW:Darius Vassell ST:Emile Heskey LW:Paul Gallagher This should be the team at the start of next season.
breadandcheese Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 I know he's injured but I'd love to see Nicky Maynard in a Leicester shirt. He wouldn't come cheap but he can lead a line by himself and is probably in the top 3 strikers in the league.
Lukey Boi Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 Billy Sharp - Doncaster - £2m Peter Whittingham - £2.5m Steve Morrison - £1.75m Kyle Naughton - £1m plus Conrad Logan Sean St Ledger - £750k David Beckham - Free Grahame Dorrans - £2m Paddy Kenny - Offer him crack Total ---- £10m :sge:
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 Billy Sharp - Doncaster - £2m Not worth £2m Peter Whittingham - £2.5m Wouldn't come Steve Morrison - £1.75m Good player but is he really any better than we already have? Also they turned down £2m from Florist in August Kyle Naughton - £1m Will cost at least £1.5m as has been reported already. Sean St Ledger - £750k Over-rated with a bad attitude David Beckham - Free Don't be silly Grahame Dorrans - £2m Wouldn't come Paddy Kenny - Offer him crack Total ---- Bollox :sge:
colbo68 Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 As the title says who would you buy if you had control of this £12,000,000?? a big strong central midfield man who can slow play down and get his foot in - Jay Emmanuel Thomas on loan would be a decent bet.... I'd also get young Ash Chambers back from York and give him a go up top with Vassell - he's very quick and gotta be a better option both now and for the future than Howard or Bender Alternatively, what about the Peterborough pair? McKail Smith and/or McLean? In other words, younger hungry players rather than older journeymen...

Lukey Boi Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 with Dorrans starting on the bench he's a big target for sven the way I see it. He proved his worth in the championship for WBA

colbo68 Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 Mackail-Smith is average and McLean is going to Hull. But good shout with Emanuel-Thomas cheers mate, didnt know about McLean - however, I'd rather see McKail-Smith scurrying about and troubling defenders than either big Steve or Bender...
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 Mackail-Smith is average and McLean is going to Hull. But good shout with Emanuel-Thomas The other half's family are all Arsenal fans and her brother mentioned him. 6ft 3 built like a brick shit house and has scored a ridiculous amount of goals for the Reserves this season. IMO a definite shout.

IMO a definite shout. I know... one of my workmates is an Arsenal season ticket holder and a bit of a character around the Emirates - he's been watching Jay's progress over the last year or two and rates him very highly...... we need exactly that type of player in the middle.......young, hungry, and big.... believe me he makes Pukey Abe look very average.
harryboi72 Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 Ben Mee from Man City is a decent shot because he is a centre back and with curtis davies probably leaving he could come in as a replacement, mancini rates him at man city so therefore hes probably a decent player.
Walshy5 Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 Richard Dunne had a big fallout with houllier and could be available. Would be a quality signing imo if we could get him but anyone think a player of this callibar would be realistic to attract to a team in the championship dispite how much money we have? By the way theres no rumours of this happening its just a thought.
MPH Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 If its just a thought then maybe suggest it in the ' who would you buy' thread
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 If a player doesnt want to play for Leicester City then f**k em, if its a possibility then great as hes a quality player at this level im sure
