Stevosevic Posted 4 January 2011 Posted 4 January 2011 James Beattie anyone? Sven had him in England squads and scored 34 in 62 for Sheff Utd at this level.
woznotwos Posted 4 January 2011 Posted 4 January 2011 HAMMILL! this would be the man i'd pull out all stops to get , really rate him . With naughton and perhaps austin/le fondre , id wet my pants then eat em..............................again...............
Leicester_Loyal Posted 4 January 2011 Posted 4 January 2011 HAMMILL! Wolves are preparing a 500k bid for him. I'd put 750k in and up it if needs be.
RizLCFC Posted 4 January 2011 Posted 4 January 2011 Adam Hammill Danny Graham Darren Ambrose Neil Danns Keith Treacy Shaun Barker Steve Morison Wes Hoolahan Grant Holt Jobi McAnuff Jimmy Kebe Matt Mills Martyn Woolford Don Cowie Billy Sharp Chris Burke *Not saying we should sign all of them but there all affordable. If we're trying to sign Beckham, Keane, Owen etc then why not go for proven Championship quality. *My only worry is we have finally got money to spend why waste it on unknown players ie Ben Parker, let's do a QPR and sign Championship players and if not this season, then next season go for it.
Jackirius Posted 4 January 2011 Posted 4 January 2011 What happened to all the rumours which said of a 'Big name signing' being revealed today (4th jan)?
1991FOX Posted 4 January 2011 Posted 4 January 2011 Wolves are preparing a 500k bid for him. I'd put 750k in and up it if needs be. Has a release clause in his contract for 500k
Ozwin Posted 4 January 2011 Posted 4 January 2011 500k is nothing. We should definately put a bid in if that's true.
1991FOX Posted 4 January 2011 Posted 4 January 2011 500k is nothing. We should definately put a bid in if that's true. Not sure if it only applies to premiership teams but something worth investigating
1991FOX Posted 4 January 2011 Posted 4 January 2011 Mido? Just been released by Ajax. Good shout, thought that myself. Apparently already been in contact with a few clubs in spain and england
harryboi72 Posted 4 January 2011 Posted 4 January 2011 Darren Ambrose would be a good signing but i know ive said this before but either wes morgan or ashley williams would be brilliant signings adam le fondre is a good player and wouldnt mind seeing him play for us same with therry racon, reuben reid and jordan rhodes
topharry123 Posted 4 January 2011 Posted 4 January 2011 We need to try and tie up some of the loan signings as permanent signings and maybe add a striker. I think we've got enough strength throughout to do the business with the exception of one more striker. Weale is fine in goal, the defence and midfield look sharp enough but upfront is where we're lacking. Vassell is coming on well, but we're still a decent striker short of being serious top 2 contenders.
Guest Bilo Posted 4 January 2011 Posted 4 January 2011 Darren Ambrose and Charlie Austin would be fine signings, might fancy it as well. Ambrose especially might not cost as much as you'd think, Palace might be out of administration but they're still far from wealthy.
RKM Posted 4 January 2011 Posted 4 January 2011 Realistic Targets: Goalkeeper Chris Kirkland - Premiership Quality if kept fit Kieran Westwood - Out of contract at the end of the season Defenders Kyle Naughton -permenant Greg Cunningham -permenant Ashley Williams - Good Defender Midfielders Anthony Pilkington - top player but has signed new 3 year deal Chris Eagles - Championship Quality Adam Hammill - Championship Quality Darren Ambrose -Championship Quality Martyn Woolford -Out of contract at the end of the season Darren Pratley - Out of contract at the end of the season Strikers Charlie Austin - Worth the punt Danny Graham - Goalscorer Leigh Griffiths - Goal machine

woznotwos Posted 4 January 2011 Posted 4 January 2011 Not to be too negative as last 2 signings may be awesome for all i know but after our last 2 dealings in transfer market i'd be happy to just sign naughton permanently
