markbsac Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 yep we took him from wallsall nutured him into a mature player ...now sell him when he is just getting into his peak age for a striker.......not happy
Guest Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Great league 1 attacker. an okay championship attacker. Lacks that step of pace which could have made him elite as he is a very intelligent footballer. I think he'll get better and better as he matures, bit of a Teddy Sheringham type. Will be good alongside a big man or in the slot behind two attackers. Best of luck Matty apart from against us.
Webbo Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Fryatt's got more goals than Vassell and Bednar put together and he still couldn't get a game. Sven was never going to give him a game.

lildave3 Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 £1.2 million for someone that barely played this season, good deal. Wouldn't go as far to say i'm pleased but everyone knows i'm not his biggest fan and don't think he'll be a huge loss.
Guest Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 We are looking bigger than Matty, really is there anyone who thinks he could lead us in the Prem? good that we can get money for people we're not going to use rather than having them sit collecting wages like DJ.
Leicfox Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Always liked Fryatt tbh and im alittle sad to see him leave without ever really having a chance under Sven. People forget that he's still only 24 and has alot of football and time for improvement ahead of him. I wish him all the best and thank him for being our top goal-scorer for the past couple of years.
Jakemoore Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Gonna miss Matty Fryatt, he couldn't play as part of a 3 up front. But as part of a 4-4-2 he was incredible.
Webbo Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 What does that have to do with anything? Just some silly stat that is completely irrelevant. We've sold a player who wasn't good enough at 1goal in every 3 games for a player who's scored 1 in around 12. That relevant to me.

lcfc_jme Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Everyone knows my opinion on Fryatt and whilst I wish him the best of luck at Hull, I won't pretend his departure from us saddens me even a little bit - at £1.2m it probably makes me a little happy. He was a 1 in 3 striker according to his stats, and had we not spent a season in League One it'd probably have been closer to 1 in 4.5. Yes Sven needs to sign someone clinical but I think he's done a good bit of business here.

North-LondonFox Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 well when we sign that player who is bigger then i will shut up.......mee on loan ,and a guy from hibs..........i hope this aint the shape of signings to come ! It doesn't look to good does it! I am not holding too much hope for these lads being better than Matty. However, I am still keeping the faith in Sven!
Guest NGoloMode Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 I'm actually really upset about this. Good luck to him.
Daggers Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Pearson's planning for his second escape from L1 already.
Shipman Out Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Really pleased teddy bear hair has finally gone, thanks for the service and I wish you well Last time I saw you play was at Norwich away a very good finish for you 2nd goal then got sent off trying to get the ball back, other than that I really don't like watching you play football not my type of player and the most overrated player we have had in recent times (bar Hume) X
FoxyPV Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Sven doesn't seem to rate him and won't play him so I wish him all the best for the future except of course against us. He did a job for us when we needed him to (well...... most of the time)
Salieri Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Sad to see him go and i'm sure he'll prove to be a good signing for Hull. All the best Matty.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Darius outscores Fryatt today :-) Fryatt didn't play...
Fox92 Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 We got to Hull early today and we were walking round the ground as usual and we walked towards Matty Fryatt. My dad shook his hand and wished him all the best.
shailen Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Disappointed about this tbh! Rated the guy and has really showed some pedigree in the past two seasons. He is a natural finisher and I believe Hull have got a real good bargain at 1.2mil. I know for all those of you who dont think he was up to it, just take a look at his goals to game ratio compared to others over the past two seasons. I still think he is premier league class and will make it one day.
Lcfcman2010 Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Fryatt didn't play... whoooooooooooooooooosh!!!!!!!!
Guest Posted 1 January 2011 Posted 1 January 2011 Fryatt didn't play... And... It was statistically correct just as the guy who compared Fryatt's scoring with Bednar's earlier. which was my point.
