davieG Posted 5 January 2011 Posted 5 January 2011 Merc Leicester City will be without defender Kyle Naughton for Sunday's FA Cup tie against Manchester City at the Walkers Stadium. During negotiations with Tottenham to extend the young full-back's loan stay, City were told by the London club that Naughton was ineligible for the third-round tie. Tottenham's decision to make him unavailable suggests the Premier League club may be prepared to sell the 22-year-old right-back. If City were to buy him, that could be one way to guarantee he is available for the Cup clash, but they would face a clutch of rival suitors. It is a blow to City's preparations with Naughton's full-back partner, Greg Cunningham, now back at Manchester City to start his rehabilitation following the broken leg he suffered in Saturday's win at Hull.
davieG Posted 5 January 2011 Author Posted 5 January 2011 Oh great so we have Neilson or Lamey in contention Or Morrison, well at the moment.
cc_star Posted 5 January 2011 Posted 5 January 2011 Yeah if Spurs don't want him cup-tied so the can sell him this month, there's no reason why we can't buy him Adored by the fans, hopefully at the start of a run towards the play-offs, we've hopefully got the money. I'm sure if he was to sign and he really wanted Prem football, if we weren't to go up, he could negotiate a release clause for the summer saying if a Prem club came in for him and offered x amount he'd be free to leave
12connor34 Posted 5 January 2011 Posted 5 January 2011 Sven sign him up, sven sven sign him up!!! :sge:
Guest shearfox Posted 5 January 2011 Posted 5 January 2011 Oh great so we have Neilson or Lamey in contention My god, Sven please sign Naughton before the game on Sunday.
Corky Posted 5 January 2011 Posted 5 January 2011 Disappointed about that, hopefully Vitor is fit so we can put Morrison at right-back, the other options fill me with no confidence whatsoever against their wingers.
BrummieFOX Posted 5 January 2011 Posted 5 January 2011 My link 27,500 now sold. Would hope the majority of the remaining tickets will go as well. Good effort by the club and fans. If tickets were £30 we wouldnt have had anywhere near that! Really looking forward to this and a 4:00pm kick off as well...

Vitor isn't back for a few weeks so we could see a Morrison, Bamba, Hobbs, Berner back four.
Callabinho Posted 5 January 2011 Posted 5 January 2011 He best sign him, If Lemay or Neilson are seen any where near the stadium i'll put my boots on.
Corky Posted 5 January 2011 Posted 5 January 2011 Vitor isn't back for a few weeks so we could see a Morrison, Bamba, Hobbs, Berner back four. Fair enough, I'll settle for that.
Kenners Posted 5 January 2011 Posted 5 January 2011 Looking forward to seeing this David Silver lad the OS mentioned.
ManCityTom Posted 5 January 2011 Posted 5 January 2011 Looking forward to seeing this David Silver lad the OS mentioned. City fan here sorry to say this but you won`t be seeing Silva he is injured Anyway looks like were going to play our first team as Mancini has said he wants to win it. Also you might be the first team Dzeko plays for us against.
Leicester1977 Posted 5 January 2011 Posted 5 January 2011 If any one is interested: I have two tickets in SK1 for the Man City game - cannot go now because of work commitments! Anyone interested PM me. I dont want anything for them but if you want to donate something to Teenage Cancer Trust - Im sure it would be appreciated. http://www.teenageca...leicester-city/

Also you might be the first team Dzeko plays for us against. It was a joke about the incompetence of whoever writes the OS articles, the misspelling of the name mainly. If Balotelli is back it wouldnt surprise me if they were told to get under his skin, especially if the game isn't going your way. Should be a good show but can't see anything other than us being comprehensively beaten.

Haha saying that I was wondering how someone could spell it Silver Anyway Balo`s temper is not as bad as most people make out although from the report of his injury on our OS it looks like he will be out anyway.
MrSpaM Posted 5 January 2011 Posted 5 January 2011 Also you might be the first team Dzeko plays for us against. Our back four is going to have a tough time if this is the case, this guy looks absalutly quality.
MeatyLCFC Posted 5 January 2011 Posted 5 January 2011 Weale morro hobbs bamba berner abe (defensive roll) king (pushing forward/ attacking) wellens (25/75 attacking nd Defending can get stuck in aswell, with his lethal threw balls to front 3) dyer (cut inside at his best) vassell (feeding off the scraps) <<< front 3 with bags of pace! waggy (good devliery on his left) back 4 needs to be (dirty) in the early stages just below the yellow card mark, off the ball walk into tevez hard etc. front 6 just do there thing! very good support from both teams, man city bringing 4900 (27,500) alltogether. hopeful it will be a cracking night.
ManCityTom Posted 5 January 2011 Posted 5 January 2011 I might aswell post what our predicted team might be. Hart Boateng/Zabaleta/Richards We have 3 quality right backs. Kompany K Toure Kolarov Big Nige Barry Yaya Toure Johnson Tevez Dzeko\Balotelli\ Milner Thats if he plays the first team if not we could be playing Bridge Vieria Jo Lescott Given Santa Cruz Adebayor SWP. Who are all premiership standard players.
CosbehFox Posted 5 January 2011 Posted 5 January 2011 Hmmm....Nigel 'Kung-Fu' De Jong v Richie 'ex-United' Wellens. Prepare for battle! I expect the centre circle to be churned up like a cowfield (has one noticed how poor our pitch looks thanks to two games with undersoil heating? I joked it's for the Cup game)
muzzieizzet Posted 5 January 2011 Posted 5 January 2011 Wellens and De Jong? plus Toure and Adebayor??? it'll be like fight night round 3 wellens & howard would batter all three tho
