Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 I wonder whether Sven's hesitation to sign Ricardo (it would seem that he's waiting to the last minute of the window, to decide), is down to the fact that he's trying to line up Given as first choice. Perhaps if he can't persuade Shay, he might sign Ricardo ? We can sign Ricardo just about any time as he is a free agen so we dont need to get it done inside the transfer window. But I'd agree with your main point though, we're possibly waiting til lthe end of the month to see what Given is doing before we sign Ricardo.

If we do sign Ricardo too as back-up and if Shay gets recalled, then we have Premiership options in that position. Weale must be on the phone to his agent as we speak!

Lesta Legend Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 The 24hour recall only comes into effect after 28 days, possibly the reason why city are reluctant after what happened to them last year - plus they have 6 games in Feb too. I do think there is truth to this rumour though.
