Mickey O'Neil Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 Bugger****! You lot best not be messin with my head! I like Weale but I so want this to happen. I still won't believe until I see it.
RobHawk Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 Seems strange that their is nothing in the papers especially since the odds have been dropped! If theres inside knowledge you would expect at least one media outlet to know about!! certainly seems like alot of hearsay right now!! It does seem to me that the source of all of the rumours probably is this thread!! Its just going around in circles!! Would love it to happen though!
davieG Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 Well he's lined up to start for Man C tonight. Goalkeeper Shay Given is expected to return to Manchester City's starting line-up in Tuesday's FA Cup third round replay against Leicester City.It will be the Irish international's first senior appearance in a month but manager Roberto Mancini is quick to point out that Joe Hart remains his preferred custodian. Roberto Mancini may rest Joe Hart for Manchester City's FA Cup third-round replay against Leicester on Tuesday night after voicing concerns over the England goalkeeper's concentration levels.
Leicester_Mad Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 Nothing about Given starting on the BBC: Manchester City plan to utilise their vast depth for the FA Cup third-round replay, with veteran midfielder Patrick Vieira given a rare start. With Mario Balotelli injured and Edin Dzeko ineligible, Jerome Boateng, James Milner, David Silva, Jo and Joleon Lescott are also likely to feature. Not that it means anything
Jimmy Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 If we end up signing given aswell i wonder how long it will take before the FA and premier league start keeping a very close eye on our relationship with Man City. Of course nothing wrong is being done, but it wont stop them being suspicious... yeah cus they took a massive interest in the Preston Man Utd relationship when Fergie Jr was there
beemeroo Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 yeah cus they took a massive interest in the Preston Man Utd relationship when Fergie Jr was there Surely that's more a case of nepotism though. *just realised you meant that they didn't take an interest!*
cc_star Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 If he's picked to play against us, then I can't see there's any chance he's joining us
nickelbyfox Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 I am sure he is trying to go somewhere else, probably another premiership team but if in a week or so nothings happened, wouldn't be surprised if he would consider Leicester. Lets face it Leicester would not be his first choice by any means, so tonights game wont mean that much imo
billyfox1 Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 I am sure he is trying to go somewhere else, probably another premiership team but if in a week or so nothings happened, wouldn't be surprised if he would consider Leicester. Lets face it Leicester would not be his first choice by any means, so tonights game wont mean that much imo I don't think it matters that he will be playing us. If he is leaving he wouldn't want to be cup tied whoever they were playing. Especially as they only have one game left in the cup
Fox1651 Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 Shay a Given cert for Leicester - errm heres hoping, surely hes too good / expensive / wont want to drop down a division etc etc for us??? i hope the rumour is true though

Especially as they only have one game left in the cup Latest I've read is that Given will be missing his 7th game in a row tonight.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 Lets hope Leicester sign him on loan or something, what a quality signing he would be
sdb Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 hmm things not taken off in here today like i was hoping. bar a few recycled jokes. come on Shay.
MPH Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 Er. Why would the fa care that our managers like each other? i was thinking more along the lines of why so many deals are done than our managers liking each other. and why would the FA care? because they really are that annoying. i swear they do it on purpose. Just so im not being misunderstood - i don't think they SHOULD care. it was a dig at the FA.
FuriousFox46 Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 He is signing for us and playing for Man City tonight just to let all our shots in
Petchy Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 The odds on him joining Leicester are now evens. Really?! They must know something..
sdb Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 If he's playing tonight then there's no way he can be joining us, surely?! What's his motivation for winning? OK he's a professional but it'd be bizzarre to say the least.
LukeyZade Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 pooe weale, he dont know wether hes coming or going, does sven not rate him or what?
Jon25747 Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 If he's playing tonight then there's no way he can be joining us, surely?! What's his motivation for winning? OK he's a professional but it'd be bizzarre to say the least. He's only on the bench tonight! http://www.lcfc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10274~2270262,00.html
Callabinho Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 Was penciled to start today! but they replaced him with hart.... Having a chat with lads at the game today and they reckon he is on the way!
stu Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 Thought Sven said on the radio this isn't going to happen? Didn't hear it myself, but my Dad told me thats what was said. Happy to be corrected though!
whitlock Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 Ian Stringer Gallagher - knee knock, Wellens ok, rested. Waghorn to Derby, not yet, until Vassell's fit if at all. Henry + Given, no. Sven's words #lcfc
Jackirius Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 Sven didn't say no, he said that it would be up to Given if he wanted to drop down a league, sounded like he had inquired though. Stringer has put words into Svens mouth.
