Guest shearfox Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 Collymore Talksport twitter - Strong rumour of Shay Given going to Leicester City on loan from Manchester City, with the Foxes paying all of his wages. Colly I would imagine all his wages is quite alot but worth it... looks close to certain this is happening.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 He would be ana amazing keeper for this league, so I would love it to happen. Him in goal and Yakubu up front can make all the difference this season. Just hope he hasnt lost his 'match fitness' due to being sat on the bench for a while.

wayne76 Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 Shay Given staying at Manchester City, says Roberto Mancini google shay given
Edmund Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 Given, who is on £100,000 a week If we're willing to pay obscene amounts such as that, we should just use the money and put a cheeky bid in for Lee Camp. Still got many years ahead of him.

He's only got to catch the fookin ball.......!!!!
sphericalfox Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 Shay Given staying at Manchester City, says Roberto Mancini google shay given They can have Ricardo, we'll welcome Shay with open arms! Roberto says so apparently!
ajthefox Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 Given over Ricardo any day of the week, this would be mental
mickydeeeuk Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 Considering the small percentage of wages Cardiff pay man city for Bellamy, if we pay all of givens wages we are mugs in my opinion. How can we justifiably match the wages offered by the richest club in the world considering our league position etc If the owners are prepared to throw obscene amounts of their own hard earned money at this 'project' fair enough, but I feel for that sort of money we could realistically buy just about who we want on a perm. deal, there must be plenty of high quality keepers that would jump through hoops for half of shay givens wages! Just because the man city owners are prepared to throw money at players they don't even want, I think we need to be a bit more savvy.
Stevosevic Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 Fun while it lasted but Mancini appears to have ruled it out.

With that money we could probably tempt Forest to give up Camp or even Westwood from Cov.
Guest shearfox Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 Fun while it lasted but Mancini appears to have ruled it out. A bit of a shame really because Given would prefer to come here than warm a bench for the rest of the season. Oh well Ricardo isn't a bad second option.
