Salieri Posted 17 January 2011 Posted 17 January 2011 34 for a keeper isn't like 34 for an outfield player, he still has a few years in him yet. Yes, I am aware of that but it still would be an over-inflated price.
Toby or not Toby Posted 17 January 2011 Posted 17 January 2011 Ok people, you are gettin my hopes up now! Would love this to happen, still cant see it even though we managed to sign Yakubu!

His odds have also been slashed to 5/4 to join Leicester in the January transfer window. link to the whole thread http://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=204257&start=30 who knows eh!
Kent Posted 17 January 2011 Posted 17 January 2011 I'm getting far too hopeful about this now. Surely not?
cc_star Posted 17 January 2011 Posted 17 January 2011 I'm getting far too hopeful about this now. Surely not? I wonder if the initial suspicion or interest has sparked the other rumours which people are taking as a 'source' We'll probably find out either way on Wednesday.
Kent Posted 17 January 2011 Posted 17 January 2011 I wonder if the initial suspicion or interest has sparked the other rumours which people are taking as a 'source' We'll probably find out either way on Wednesday. Trying not to sound stupid, why Wednesday?
MikeyT Posted 17 January 2011 Posted 17 January 2011 Surely if he wasn't in the Man City squad at all tomorrow evening, that would be a big clue?
rico Posted 17 January 2011 Posted 17 January 2011 Stringer said on the moan-in that Given would be in goal tomorrow for Man City
WillyP Posted 17 January 2011 Posted 17 January 2011 Stringer said on the moan-in that Given would be in goal tomorrow for Man City A Farewell Game / Here are you new team mates?
Kent Posted 17 January 2011 Posted 17 January 2011 This is the kind of uncertain/hopeful stage where no one really has a clue about whether it'll happen that someone in the know comes in and confirms or denies the rumour. Anyone?
cc_star Posted 17 January 2011 Posted 17 January 2011 Trying to sound stupid, why Wednesday? It's likely if there is a deal to be done, it won't be done whilst we're still to play against each other, meaning on Wednesday we'll find out of he's going elsewhere, staying where is or joining us
sdb Posted 17 January 2011 Posted 17 January 2011 I get the feeling this is about 50% substance, 50% hope. But our optimism is around the 95% mark. Or something.
rico Posted 17 January 2011 Posted 17 January 2011 A Farewell Game / Here are you new team mates? if he has a shocker and lets a hatfull in,will we still want him though
whitlock Posted 17 January 2011 Posted 17 January 2011 Obviously Given would be a ridiculous signing for us but it gives a statement of intent that we mean business. It also is an attraction to other players, maybe IF we had, Given and Yakubu then prem players such as Keane, Santa Cruz may have given us a second look at the time Sven tried to loan/buy them.
Callabinho Posted 17 January 2011 Posted 17 January 2011 If we chant given songs it will put him off and make weale have the game of his life! Either way we win!
sdb Posted 17 January 2011 Posted 17 January 2011 If we chant given songs it will put him off and make weale have the game of his life! Either way we win! dubious!!
ajthefox Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 If Given is on his way he won't play tonight, it makes no sense to play him in a match against a team he's about to sign for, whether that be a perm or a loan. If anything is in the pipeline, City may well just be saying that he's playing tonight (hence stringers tweet) so that it puts people off the scent because I don't imagine he will actually play, I haven't seen Wolves' goals from saturday but I haven't read anything suggesting Hart fooked up, and after the first tie not putting out the best 11 would be a silly move for mancini to make as it would only send out signals that they don't care, a la arsenals youth team playing semis in the league cup in previous seasons.
MPH Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 If we end up signing given aswell i wonder how long it will take before the FA and premier league start keeping a very close eye on our relationship with Man City. Of course nothing wrong is being done, but it wont stop them being suspicious...

Finnegan Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 Er. Why would the fa care that our managers like each other?
