gazfox9 Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 he won't go cos Blackpool won't break there wage structure. put simply I don't think they could afford him. Thats assuming he even wants to go.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 if it's true, i hope holloway is prepared to pay a fair whack and not offer us peanuts like he did for dj! not that i want wellens to go, i don't. he's probably our most important player - just hate how holloway tried to get players on the cheap, now when teams are sniffing around his players he wants stupid amounts of money! Disagree, to be honest, I'd rather keep Wellens than accept a ridiculous offer of £7m + Which is why its about time we got 'ONE RITCHIE WELLENS" chanted now and again! Let him know he's appreciated!
Mikey Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 If Blackpool don't go down this season, they'll go down next. There'd be no point in going.

Let him know he's appreciated! You don't think that would be enough for a 30 yr old player who has never played in the Premiership?
whitlock Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 Yeah. Somebody had said it. It was you. Just before you said it the second time. Don't hate the player hate the shit internet connection for double postage.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 You don't think that would be enough for a 30 yr old player who has never played in the Premiership? I was only giving an example. Had he never played for Man Utd? Realistically we'd get £3m for him. But we don't need that money anymore
The Doctor Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 Time for some seriously loud Richie chants at the next match our next game isn't till after the window closes.
Babylon Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 The only place I can see this mentioned is on Bentleys, which is where you probably got it from. Now, for all we know "LASHINGtheLAMB" who started it is on a wind up. I'll repeat what I said earlier....
Darkon84 Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 According to Eurosport, Wellens is set to sig a new contract with us....but then again, it is accoding to Eurosport
Toby or not Toby Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 According to Eurosport, Wellens is set to sig a new contract with us....but then again, it is accoding to Eurosport First4lcfc on twitter tweeted earlier that Wellens had signed a new contract with us. Not a clue how reliable that is though?
Leicester_Loyal Posted 26 January 2011 Posted 26 January 2011 "Blackpool have put a £12m price tag on their want-away captain Charlie Adam, while Seasiders boss Ian Holloway is eyeing Derby midfielder Paul Green as a possible replacement." They will get someone like shitty Green while we keep our amazing Wellens.
Raj Posted 26 January 2011 Posted 26 January 2011 If Charlie Adams is worth 12million then Wellens is worth 43.25million Euros of anyones cash
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 Richie Wellens will stay with Leicester City im sure. He has been our player of the season so far IMO
Fox1651 Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 Richie Wellens will stay with Leicester City im sure. He has been our player of the season so far IMO Defo player of the year so far!!! One Richie Wellens theres only one Richie Wellens
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 Anyone worried if we get injuries in midfield though?
hackneyfox Posted 27 January 2011 Author Posted 27 January 2011 Definitely need a new centre half and/or midfielder. PVA could probably push into the midfield as could Bamaba if needed but that would leave us short at the back.
thenibbs Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 wellens has said he wants 2 stay at leice and leice are bigger than the clubs he has been linked with
jae-ols Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 You measure not sell Wellens. He is incredibly good and I h ° per his will.
jae-ols Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 Leicester has more opportunities in the Premier League than Blackpool.
Finnegan Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 You measure not sell Wellens. He is incredibly good and I h ° per his will. Spot on, mate.
the_foxes_till_i_die Posted 30 January 2011 Posted 30 January 2011 Richie Wellens has insisted has no desire to leave Leicester and wants to sign a new contract. The 30-year-old has impressed new boss Sven Goran Eriksson with the quality of his performances since the Swede took the helm at the Walkers Stadium. Eriksson has described the process of the two parties concluding a deal as a "formality" despite reported interest from Birmingham. And his sentiments seemed to have been reinforced by the skilful midfielder who wants to remain at the club. "I am not looking to move and of the clubs I have been linked to, Leicester are a bigger club than any of them," he told the Leicester Mercury.
