We obviously can only attract people from lower leagues who are young, but might one day be good enough for the Championship, with a bit of luck, init?

I just don't think jenas is better than anything in our starting midfield at the moment and for the cost he'd be pointless as backup.

Its just whether they want to come here thats the problem. People saying its untrue, Sven has admitted wanting Beckham so why not Jenas?

Gotta say I agree with this, sure he'd do a job for us if we were to sign him but I've never really rated him that highly. Would much rather go after his clubmate Niko Kranjkar.

Lineker's Left Foot Posted 28 January 2011 Posted 28 January 2011 Dont rip my head off for mentioning because if you remember i was the one who got it right about Darius Vassell, but Sven Goran Erikkson is reportedly after jermaine jenas on loan for the remainder of the season, to bolster the midfield. this is a target he will look at after he signs a new CB (replacement of Davies) Agree with that one about providing the initial story regarding Vassell, but Jenas??? I'm sure some Premier clubs are in the queue before us though mate, but not saying that Sven isn't interested however???? Tell you what, don't really follow European football, but is there a likelihood that we could get a cheeky bid on loan for Ricardo Quaresma???

ajthefox Posted 28 January 2011 Posted 28 January 2011 Never been a massive fan and I don't think Spurs fans are that keen on him, but you cant argue with the facts, and that is that he's been playing in the prem for years and still isn't that old I don't think. So although I personally am not too sure on him, he would surely bring an extra bit of quality. Only problem might be how he fits in? We can't play 4-4-2 but who does Jenas replace in our midfield 3?
