That's shitty. I don't think there's such a thing as a good burglary but I hope yours wasn't too traumatic

The worst bit is knowing someone was in my house while I was asleep. There wasn't much downstairs to take and they seem to have just taken what they could carry which wasn't a great deal. Still, my bike's gone. :(

don't worry ;

Research shows the fear of being a victim of crime is now greater than the actual risk of becoming a crime statistic.

whatever the fook that's supposed to mean

Three burglaries in my town :o

Alsager? My Grandfather told me that there was a fight outside the Bank Corner pub on Tuesday night which was put in the Sentinel newspaper, so anti-social behaviour must be a '1' not zero.

There's always fights outside Bank Corner. And yeah the antisocial behaviour is like 5, I just didn't mention that.

One crime on my street (bearing in mind it's a street of about 10 houses!) but it was under 'other'.

Probably the benefit fraudster next door getting reported.

People should not think these figures are 100% accurate. Midgate in Peterborough is 20th on the Guradians list in top crime in the counrrty when that is not actually the case, not reflecting the real picture. That is what is being said by the Police for the city centre anyway, some how there has been an error/mistake (not sure exactly how but the record was set straight in the Peterborough Evening telegraph).

A lot of the time, controllers (in charge of incidents that come in to the Police when reported) will close a case as Anti Social Behaviour order as its the easiest thing to do, and the quickest way of saying the incident is 'closed'. When really the crime, if there is even one, isnt ASB at all.

I know, I sometimes have to look at the crimes that come in and ask for them to have their 'category' changed so it doesnt have influence on local Policing crime figures.

So dont go believing that the figures are always accurate and as straight forward as they seem asthey really arent.

If it's the Coalville area it's probably incest.

Outside of London I'm struggling to find somewhere better than St Ann's in Shottingham at about 1650! Mind you, it won't even give me information on Glasgow's Red Road! St Mathews rocks up about 1100 putting some of the New Parks hotspots to shame (350!?) "Other Crimes" on Kent Street is hilariously high at about 495 (1185 in total.)

This website is addictive, haha.Toxteth surprisingly low at about 600!

My place this year in Nottingham:

1512 crimes, 1160 are either anti-social behaviour or "other" though so not too bad.

My place last year in Nottingham:

1721 crimes, 1307 of which were anti-social behaviour or "other".

My address in Leicester:

Much calmer, coming in at a comparitively low 497 crimes.

I have, however, both seen and been the victim of crime more in Leicester than I have in Nottingham. Odd.

Surprisingly low numbers around Liverpool.

Under two hundred where I live, albeit in a quieter area.
