We have 2 left backs, and Vitor could easily play on the right (in fact i think he'd be better there than at centre back) Sounds an uneccessary signing. We need back up for midfield. Sven has loan defenders OCD.

Candidcamera Posted 7 February 2011 Posted 7 February 2011 Sven has the right priorities we have been poor at times at the back and if we are to get better and stronger this is a brilliant addition. I would expect him to play immediately. It is only when you see the player that you can comment upon him.

Certainly has the ability to do a very good job there.

Captain... Posted 8 February 2011 Posted 8 February 2011 I don't think this is a good idea, unless we can send Mee back, if we get an injury we have no possibility to loan in any cover. If we can bring in Bruma and cancel Mee's loan then fair enough, or cancel Bruma's loan whenever we want. This normally isn't the case for season long loans. The point of the emergency loan window is to get some cover if there is an injury. We currently have Bamba, Hobbs and Mee fit, with Tunchev and Vitor coming back (any updates on those 2?) with Berner and Neilson able to play in that position It makes no sense to use our last chance of bringing someone in for a position we have cover for, whilst our midfield options look very bare by comparison, especially with Abe's drop in form.

Langston Posted 9 February 2011 Posted 9 February 2011 I can't see how we can lose from this.* We bring in someone who's clearly talented for the rest of the season, to hopefully bring some solidarity to a defence that has looked shaky at times, and send out Hobbs to get some much needed game time and a bit of confidence back. I'd rather see Hobbs loaned to Hull, where he could actually get a few wins under his belt, though, as opposed to Derby, an experience which could dent his self belief even more. *(Obviously, we can lose from this if Bruma turns out to be unbearably gash, but I doubt that'll happen.)

Was also hoping this with Kerrea Gilbert loan with Arsenal never happend tho.

They can keep him, he's fooking useless.

I feel for Hobbs but this is what i keep saying! managers have different ideas and Hobbs isn't suited for Sven, just like Berner isn't, etc.. Hobbs hasn't helped his cause with some of his performances either i may add! This Bruma guy i really like the look of.. He is pacey, picks out a pass, looks to make a forward run IF right and would fit in very well under the Svennis way
