Narborough_fox Posted 29 March 2011 Posted 29 March 2011 Get him back here, I'm sure we are missing him. This is not another 'bring back fryatt, Hobbs etc' comment. These players have been replaced adequately, not sure Chrissy P has. Chrissy P never will be replaced properly. I miss Chrissy P.
broughtonblue Posted 29 March 2011 Posted 29 March 2011 Chrissy P never will be replaced properly. I miss Chrissy P. I'm not sure it's just us supporters who miss him, I think he was well respected by the players, a vital link between them and Sven.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 29 March 2011 Posted 29 March 2011 Shouldn't have left, I know it was a great opportunity but he had a chance to learn so much from Sven.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 29 March 2011 Posted 29 March 2011 Shouldn't have left, I know it was a great opportunity but he had a chance to learn so much from Sven. The beauty of Hindsight but if he did well at Charlton it would of been a massive kickstart for his coaching career.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 29 March 2011 Posted 29 March 2011 Ha I know man, seems easy enough saying it now.
ajthefox Posted 30 March 2011 Posted 30 March 2011 I remember saying after his first couple wins I hope it's not new manager syndrome and I am honestly gutted I'm right, such a shame. I think it some ways it was a poisoned challice in that it was always going to be hard to improve and keep Charlton higher than what they were when he took over. On the other hand though, I think he would've been mad to say no and for all we know had he said no, he could've blown the only chance he'd ever have at managing them. better to regret trying something that might not have ended well then to never have tried and be left thinking what if..
Haydos Posted 30 March 2011 Posted 30 March 2011 Shouldn't have left, I know it was a great opportunity but he had a chance to learn so much from Sven. I said this at the time. It was possibly a once in a lifetime opportunity to develop himself. For any young manager out there the stuff they could gain from someone like Sven would be invaluable and sadly he probably won't get the chance again. Good luck to him though, welcome back any time.
accessory Posted 30 March 2011 Posted 30 March 2011 We are going down, say we are going down! Could be worse - you could have had Mandaric, Megson and Morrison off us instead..
m00nie Posted 30 March 2011 Posted 30 March 2011 and people wanted him to be our manager at the time.. just shows how your heart can rule your head at times...
General Smuts Posted 30 March 2011 Posted 30 March 2011 and people wanted him to be our manager at the time.. just shows how your heart can rule your head at times... Shut up you. Hes still my hero. And i still would.
ajthefox Posted 30 March 2011 Posted 30 March 2011 and people wanted him to be our manager at the time.. just shows how your heart can rule your head at times... True, but who's to say it wouldn't have worked here just because it didn't at Charlton..?
MC Prussian Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 And suddenly, things look so much better at the Valley with Chrissy P in charge: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/football-league-blog/2011/aug/21/charlton-chris-powell All the best for Charlton, wish them well.
Ozwin Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 I'd love to know how Michael Morrison is doing after Sheffield Wednesday basically destroyed the poor sod.
Lamby Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 I'd love to know how Michael Morrison is doing after Sheffield Wednesday basically destroyed the poor sod. Formed a good partnership with Matt Taylor, them two aint getting beaten in the air often now, which happened too many time last season
Lamby Posted 3 September 2011 Posted 3 September 2011 If you want to see our beloved Sir Chris and Michael Morrison, we're on Sky Sports 1 on monday night against Sheff Wed
Fox92 Posted 5 September 2011 Posted 5 September 2011 If you want to see our beloved Sir Chris and Michael Morrison, we're on Sky Sports 1 on monday night against Sheff Wed  Fantastic goal Wright-Phillips. Hope you beat Sheffield Wednesday, can't stand 'em really.
Narborough_fox Posted 5 September 2011 Posted 5 September 2011 Suprised there's not been any red cards with Redman I mean Deadman in charge of the game.
