Guest MarshallForEngland Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 I didn't hear Norwich fans booing their keeper for falling on his arse when he tried to kick the ball out or not touching Wellens' header past the post. I know people want a scapegoat because it's an easy way of explaining what has happened over the last few games, but some people have to realise that the statistical anomoly is not what is happening now; it's the run of unbeaten games we went on: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regression_toward_the_mean
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 If a player pulls on the Blue shirt (or whatever colour if we are away) of Leicester City - we need to get behind them and cheer them on regardless, yes there will be disapointment when we lose / play badly etc etc but we still need to cheer them on. I get frustrated just as much as any true Leicester fan that we arent doing so well at the mo but i would never boo a Leicester player, well unless we re-sign Dennis Wise
Grimace Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 Totally agree with the excellent original post and the majority of the sentiments in his thread (I posted something similar on the leicester mercury website so I imagine I'll get plenty of replies saying "I pay X amount of money I can say what I want"). For a number of years we've been challenging Middlesbrough for having the worst set of fans in the league (in terms of lack of support, moaning about everything etc). The sad fact is that most of the "loyals" (especially those at the back of the Kop) are complete ****ing idiots who think they know everything about football cos they read the Sun, watch Sky Sports News and play Football Manager, and they genuinely think that not only are their views correct and well-informed, but that everyone else thinks that way too. When Norwich's third goal went in, clearly taking a huge deflection past Ricardo into the opposite side of the goal, and the majority of the Kop stood up and booed and chanted "Weale! Weale!" I was thiiiiiiiiiiis close to walking out - not because of the performance but because I genuinely felt like punching everyone in sight. Take nothing away from Norwich - they were outstanding last night and stopped us from playing our game. We were well below par, especially in the second half, but that's as much to Norwich's persistent pressing high up the pitch and excellent ball retention when they were in possession. Get behind the team or shut up, stay at home and listen to Stringer talk about his Twitter page
Haydos Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 Exactly why , when we were in the position we were in, is not makIng the play offs not a failure? How can the fans on here go from 'we are the best team in the division ' and 'look certs for promotion' only a couple or three weeks ago to now be accepting that we probably wont even make the play offs?..... Accept it, take it on the chin and agree that, however well the swede had done, he and the team have well and truly fooked things up over the past two weeks...im not surprised as I never thought either sven or his signings were gonna be quite enough....the mistake the city fans make over and over again is getting carried away by a few wins suddenly making us world beaters...keep a level head, some common sense and bear in mind that Sven is an average manager of men... If he was any better would he be here? I've followed city for decades, love my club and now know one thing to be true... Never get too excited cos, with the exception of Oneill we usually flatter to deceive.. A phrase which. In my opinion, sums up mr eriksen very well 1) This means you expected the playoffs. 2) This surely contradicts the second part in bold. People like you annoy me more than the boo boys. You fvck me off beyond words and have the audacity to call yourself a fan. You're telling people to be as glum as possible until we've actually achieved something and to refrain from all hope. I'd hate to meet you in real life, I really would. Obviously some got carried away. The 'we're no longer a good championship team' thread springs to mind, but people with that attitude probably belong in a category somewhere near yours. Plenty of us approached the tail end of the season with high hopes, knowing a play off place would be a 'small miracle' as was mentioned earlier in the season when our form was slowly improving. Granted we've gone off the pot the last few games but fvcking it up? No chance. We've played some of the top teams and it hasn't gone well for us. I can accept that, clearly you are just another tosser will not be happy unless we get a result in almost every game.

MrSpaM Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 I agree mate, I think the pantomime boo boys were the biggest let down last night! its embarrassing to be in the same stand as the morons. It's also embarrassing to sit in front of people who shout "great goal!" every time someone scores against us, spends the next ten minutes calling us the worst team he's ever seen, and then sits their for the rest of the game calling our players useless every time they get on the ball. I've had to put up with this from the people sitting behind me for the entire season, and it's really starting to grate on me now
Trav Le Bleu Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 Well said Ben2hats. I'll add that I'll bet it was same idiots who started leaving with 10 minutes to go. Yes we were never going to win from that point, or even get a draw - but that's not the point is it? If you're a supporter then you support and you can't do that from outside the ground (which sounds like I'm saying that people who can't get to matches aren't supporters, but you know what I mean - can only get to a handful of games a season myself.) I had a right old rant at the droves... and I really do mean droves, of early leavers. Not only was it non-supportive, it was inconsiderate of those who stayed, but now couldn't see what was happening AND brought shame on the club by allowing Norwich fans to sing deserved abuse at our support. I'm not ashamed to be a City fan, but I am ashamed of many of them.
brockmyster Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 Embarassing, truely embarassing. The abuse for Ricardo is shambolic, booing your own players, booing your captain? How long ago was it he lifted the league one trophy. And I hate to sound like a twat, but it wouldn't be seen at an away game and im 90% certain its those that don't go every week and will be intrested when its going well. If we ever did get back to the premiership I wouldn't want to be assoicated with these lot. Give me a league one tour all over again then see your own fans being complete ignorant thick tossers. Wtf are u on about u want us to be in a lower league rather than just ignore those sort of fans thats a good attitude to have towards the club
Brown Fox Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 Anyone else considering taking a break from this site until we win a game again. There have been some absolute pricks on here today and last night. The people who genuinely believe Sven isn't good enough or should be sacked can just **** off. We were bottom of the table with a team who couldn't play 90 minutes and that had no confidence. Within 4 months Sven has got us a whole new team and got us fighting for a play-off position. People need to have a look where we were at one stage and realise Sven isn't ****ing superman and that we won't automatically win games because we have spent money and have a selection of prem players. This whole loanees don't care thing is shite as well. Mee and Naughton have been outstanding and you can tell 100% they bloody care. I'm sorry Yakubu doesn't run around like Waghorn but he's about 10x better than him. I'd bet my life if Yakubu had Waghorn's chances vs QPR then we wouldn't be having all this shit talking. He does what it says on the tin, everyone knew he was lazy but feed him and he'll make something happen. He got shit all service last night so what was he meant to do. Then when he did have the ball he had no options then everyone tells him to shoot from 35 yards and when he obliges everyone boos and moans. That'll make him feel good. Our fans were so embarassing yesterday. Standing in K block listening to people boo louder to our player than they normally chant was pretty low. Then all the 'loyal supporters' who sing those really funny songs about 'pie and pint' and 'cheap tickets' when the ground is full, well when i turned around when gally smashed his goal in there was absolutely nobody there. People need to get real especially people like accessory, lcfcstu and ta-fc to name a few. Wait till next season when Sven has had a full pre-season and has bought his own team therefore doesn't need to tinker and watch us bum-rape this league or even better yet we still might get play offs this season. I bet you twats would be really upset if we did well though, you only seem to talk shit when we're losing, what about when we were winning? Some people seem like they just want to say 'I told you so' Livid
dannythefox Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 I have never shouted for someone thats not in the pitch but i dont think this weale shouting is going to go away until he is back on the pitch. I dont like ricardo but shouting at him/against him will make him make more mistakes and he will crumble and noone deserves that.

Your post is very personal, abusive and unneccessary - how old are you? Does anyone know how to make a complaint on here? Please inform me if you do

Does anyone know how to make a complaint on here? Please inform me if you do Maybe like I said i'm sick of the constant negativity and badly put together opinions. You manage to generalise that 'everyone' expected auto promotion and was arrogant about it when it was a mere few. I don't understand your mentality, you don't seem to have 'hope' at any point, only the worry that we might/will probably fail. Maybe I take this personally, I don't know. Sorry if you feel I've been overly aggressive but there's been an irritating amount of sad sacks on here the last couple of days saying 'I told you so'. They weren't around when we were in good form, too busy waiting for us to fail which they seem to have been praying for. You may not share all these opinions but that's how it came across: nothing but the best possible outcome would have satisfied you. Almost every week we've been moving up the table. The first time we drop back down again and you label us as a failure, this just further supports my feelings that you wouldn't be happy with anything other than promotion. If we make it to the playoffs and lose out will it be just as much of a failure? Or less because we got further? Or more because we got so close? Seriously, I'm just trying to understand where you lie.
Fox92 Posted 10 March 2011 Posted 10 March 2011 I shout and critisize players throughout the game, but I'd never boo one because its a disgrace. His 'errors' get highlighted because he's in goal. Yakubu missed a chance or two, so did King. Are fans going to sign for Waghorn and Moussa etc?? Someone sat behind me in SK2 even booed Ricardo's name when it was read out over the PA system!!
Houdini Logic Posted 10 March 2011 Posted 10 March 2011 Never seen a post count so high. It's tragic that if your initial post was 'Ricardo is a twat' you could probably treble it
Darkon84 Posted 10 March 2011 Posted 10 March 2011 Never seen a post count so high. It's tragic that if your initial post was 'Ricardo is a twat' you could probably treble it Sad, but true
B52 Posted 10 March 2011 Posted 10 March 2011 I had hopes for Weale to get more experience and learn a few things from Ricardo... Now I believe Sven will sell Weale. Team spirit is top priority and if the so-called-fans are destroying team spirit Sven will get rid of the bad apple. I hope I'm wrong though. Weale is too young and can develop into a monster with the right guidance. I think we have lost at least 4 points because the team can't handle the extra pressure by their own fans. I think Sven thinks so too..........
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 10 March 2011 Posted 10 March 2011 It is time for true Leicester City fans to stand up and be counted and cheer them to the rafters - cue away game against Scunny when most of our most ardent fans turn out in force. To the true fans i doth my cap

Seriously, I'm just trying to understand where you lie. I merely tried to say that I dont rate Sven very much as a motivator... he's a nice bloke apparently..my mate has rented him a flat and said he's a real gent, very interesting etc... but I've never found him inspiring and, as I wrote on here a week after Sven joined us, just ask the Man City fans who claimed that he's a one trick pony tactically - there isn't a great deal of Plan B if Plan A don't work. Get it right and behave yourself - I'm as passionate as any about my club getting success - but I'm too long in the tooth to get all excited after we have had a few wins - and I simply said that Im not surprised that Sven and the team have capitulated at exactly the wrong time. This don't mean you have to become Woody Allen.... For the record, it won't surprise me if we do well next season.... but that will be due to Thai money, not to Sven Eriksen (in my opinion) There... no need to be nasty is there
Heskey2011 Posted 10 March 2011 Posted 10 March 2011 Great initial post/topic, read my mind in places, reminded me of what a Shef wed mate of mine said a while back, he is convinced that the recent and extensive decline of wednesday is in no small part down to the attitude of the fans, expecting brazil etc the younger players react badly when booed and looked scared to make a mistake. We cannot go down this road again, although Sven has built up expectations some what with his repeated talk of getting into the prem, and last seasons fantastic play off push, we just need to just support him and the team (including GK) good or bad, rain or shine, ManCity or Scunthorpe,
North-LondonFox Posted 10 March 2011 Posted 10 March 2011 I am quite glad to read through this post and see that most fans are quite positive. I genuinely think that negativity breeds negativity and we will all enjoy the experience of being City fans more if we look on the bright side and get behind the team and management. There's a lot to be positve about at the moment - especially compare with where we were 3-4 years ago. We are a club on the up so lets enjoy it.
B52 Posted 10 March 2011 Posted 10 March 2011 Weale is 29, I'd hardly call that too young I have to put on my glasses. I thought he was from the academy last time I saw him... , Well, if it isn't age so what is it?
