ForzaLeicester Posted 18 March 2011 Posted 18 March 2011 Looking at the fixtures, "if" we win, we could go 7th, some hard fixtures for the teams around us, we have to win though..these are games we need to be winning!
MikeyT Posted 18 March 2011 Posted 18 March 2011 I would say every game till the end of the season is a must win game now. Players know it. Can't see them giving anything less than 100% tomorrow. If they have real ambitions then they'll be going for it. I would have thought Wellens and Gallagher, having just signed on the dotted line, will especially be wanting to prove it was the right call to be offered improved contracts.

Agreed they are all cup finals from now on in. Although the doom and gloom merchant in me thinks we havent got a chance unless we more or less win every remaining game (poss win 7, draw 1 lose 1?)
CKB Posted 18 March 2011 Posted 18 March 2011 Will be tough one once again, Pompey ain't mugs (who is in this league?) i'm hoping for a win, we owe them and owe them big...but i'd take a 1-0 right now

cc_star Posted 18 March 2011 Posted 18 March 2011 Since Sven's 1st game, Portsmouth have earned the same amount of points as Cardiff and have only suffered one more defeat than us. Exclusing a couple of sides this is as about as difficult as it gets. 2-1 us Klose with a brace
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 18 March 2011 Posted 18 March 2011 The only thing I know, is that they finished about 12 points above us in 3rd (missed out on automatic by one goal on their GD) & we finished 6th and knocked them out of the playoffs in 93 with an away draw & a home win at the city ground (our Main stand was being rebuilt after the last day of the season) because of the points gap there was controversy over the validity of the playoffs... Don't know if thats why they seem to dislike us? Awesome goal from Joachim I think aswell as the above there was some pretty strong violence after the game down at Pompey if i remember rightly - their fans mardy at losing. Still im sure not all Pompey fans are retards . . . . . . .

Ashley Posted 18 March 2011 Posted 18 March 2011 They hate us so much due to the trouble what had taken place during the play-offs Leicester went on a rampage in Nottingham after the win then on the return leg before/after the game Porstmouth' mob were hitting women and children along with blokes apparently(according to bentleys roof) then when leicester next played Portsmouth(away) leicester took 400 or so lads down to get one back on Portsmouth. Portsmouth have been at it as well this season attacking buses when they played Cardiff All this is from Bentleys Roof....
Greg2607 Posted 18 March 2011 Posted 18 March 2011 My first game tomorrow since the villa cup game where we lost!! (perhaps not a great omen!) can't wait for this one!!!

Lets (football wise) give them their cummupance for the 6-1 earlier in the season
Corky Posted 18 March 2011 Posted 18 March 2011 At least we won't have Milan loving all the adulation from the PooroldPompey fans.
broughtonblue Posted 19 March 2011 Posted 19 March 2011 Gutted, had to give my ticket away because of illness, bet we will hit 6 or 7 past them now
leicesterseddon Posted 19 March 2011 Posted 19 March 2011 Just seen an article on the OS entitled 'Yakubu gunning for former club'. I wonder whether they actually realise what this headline means...
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 19 March 2011 Posted 19 March 2011 My Jonah cousin is coming to this, can't see us winning
Bugg Posted 19 March 2011 Posted 19 March 2011 Just seen an article on the OS entitled 'Yakubu gunning for former club'. I wonder whether they actually realise what this headline means... Yeah it means that he's going out to hurt/defeat Portsmouth. are you sure you know what the headline means?
Unit Posted 19 March 2011 Posted 19 March 2011 Yeah it means that he's going out to hurt/defeat Portsmouth. are you sure you know what the headline means? Gunning for normally means supporting
Raj Posted 19 March 2011 Posted 19 March 2011 This has got a thread of its own at top,but just in case no one ses it----- Guys(and GIrls). I've just had a phone call for help by LCFC. The club had arranged for people from DMU to go out and about before kick off to raise money for the Japanese Disaster Fund (The club are also doing a Comic Relief appeal). Basically they have been let down and need volunteers to help out with the Japanese Fundraising. If anyone can help can you please email asap to - [email protected] They want people to meet up at the staff entrance at the ground (Its opposite the memorial garden). And they will supply you with a matchday ticket if you do not already have one. First thing is to try and email asap so they know that they have people to help out. UP THE CITY!!! xxx
Bugg Posted 19 March 2011 Posted 19 March 2011 Gunning for normally means supporting Well I've always known it as trying to hurt opposition. Maybe it has two different meanings
