Guest Bilo Posted 3 April 2011 Posted 3 April 2011 Jeffrey Schlupp = Leicester's Connor Wickham. Hopefully.
Bob Farley Posted 3 April 2011 Posted 3 April 2011 Danny Schlupp = Leicester's Connor Wickham. Hopefully.
themotivator Posted 3 April 2011 Posted 3 April 2011 just watched the highlights. my god robbie was shocking! looked out of his depth even at that level. schluppo made me raise my eyebrow a fair few times though, looks like he could be.....THE NEXT RONALDO ..or maybe just quite a good player one day.
Ric Flair Posted 4 April 2011 Posted 4 April 2011 I thought Brentford didn't play to Schlupp's strengths in the 1st half and he was fairly anonymous, but when they did give him an outlet through the channels he was very dangerous. He is still raw, but with the correct coaching, this lad looks a real talent. I've not seen pace like his for a while, it seems so effortless as well. Good to see he's strong as well, that's something a lot of our youngsters have lacked when trying to break through. Looking forward to the next few seasons and hoping he can make it with us.
Jimmy Posted 4 April 2011 Posted 4 April 2011 was it just me that thought the Brentford no 7 thought he was Cristiano Ronaldo and could win the game all on his own, a number of times he just wouldn't play Schlupp in and went on to take a wild pot shot

Whenever her got the ball he had a run at the defence and then spooned a shot, wasted attacks left right and center. Funny that the only time they came close was when Schlupp created something out of nothing far right beating his man and then was unlucky to hit the post. Preseason with the first team and he'll be ready to go.
Matt Posted 4 April 2011 Posted 4 April 2011 He looked good yesterday, impressed, my worry? I have to question if he'll be given the chance here, Sven likes a big name, we all like a big name, but when a big name struggles on the pitch and still gets chosen how is a player who isn't a big name to get the chance?

Yeah don't get me wrong, I'm not slagging Sven off, what do I know compared to his record, I was just stating a slight possible concern.
Kenners Posted 5 April 2011 Posted 5 April 2011 Yeah don't get me wrong, I'm not slagging Sven off, what do I know compared to his record, I was just stating a slight possible concern. Well hes going to play a part in pre-season you would assume because there's nothing to play for, if he impresses then it would be odd for Sven not to factor him into his plans.
eaglebee Posted 14 April 2011 Posted 14 April 2011 Schlupp is staying with us now until the end of the season, do us and him good
Jackirius Posted 14 April 2011 Posted 14 April 2011 Yep Schlupp loan extended until the end of the season.
Jimmy Posted 14 April 2011 Posted 14 April 2011 would of had him back and involved personally but playing regularly will do him good
Guest shearfox Posted 14 April 2011 Posted 14 April 2011 would of had him back and involved personally but playing regularly will do him good I just hope we don't let him go like we did with Gradel.
Jimmy Posted 14 April 2011 Posted 14 April 2011 I just hope we don't let him go like we did with Gradel. Gradel went mainly cus NP didn't like him, Sven seems to rate Schlupp
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 15 April 2011 Posted 15 April 2011 I just hope we don't let him go like we did with Gradel. Perhaps if we had loaned Gradel to Brentford rather than Leeds United he may still be here now!
Dylan Posted 25 April 2011 Posted 25 April 2011 Scored again today- 90th minute equaliser coming off the bench..
artursteppe Posted 25 April 2011 Posted 25 April 2011 News from the training ground. Schlupp is an awesome talent, but can be lazy. Very rare for someone as young as him to be loaned out to a league side. Club wanted to see how he would react. Ability is something special, attitude needs to improve. The club are hopeful that his work rate and attitude have improved, especially with his run out at Wembley. Time will tell, but we may have a special young player.
sdb Posted 25 April 2011 Posted 25 April 2011 Well he's been benched for a couple of games so hopefully he's learnt something from that, if attitude is indeed an issue. Glad he scored. Seemed to have gone off the radar. Hopefully just a blip, which is entirely understandable given the circumstances.

Yakubu can be lazy too so he's in pretty good company! .
Stevosevic Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 Yakubu can be lazy too so he's in pretty good company! . If he's going to average 1 in 2 like Yakubu we've got a player on our hands.
Ric Flair Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 If he's going to average 1 in 2 like Yakubu we've got a player on our hands. Haha! Don't say that, you know the Leicester fans only relate to players like Hume and Robbie Savage who run around like mongoles after a set of felt tips.
