I dont think Kamara would be a bad signing. However, he DOES blow hot and cold and can be moody. SWP would be a superb signing - quick (how this team needs pace...), has a good attitude and can score goals.

As I say that mate says does look like kamara, hasn't heard anything about swp kamara isn't really high profile though!

Abe does the defensive job, Wellens creates and king supports Yakubu, you can't bring Pires in and sit him on the bench as he wouldn't join if that was the plan, we need a winger more then a cm as we only need back up for CM I'm wondering if we're talking about the same Pires. You know, the one who has spent the majority of his career playing on the WING! I know he hasn't got the pace anymore, but Gallagher isn't exactly known for his speed either. We've seen a few times now that without a Gallagher that provides decent set pieces and some openings, we don't look very creative. An alternative would be wise. All this talk about Pires is probably nonsense though, as he doesn't look likely to leave Villa. ps. Not aimed at you, but everyone mentioning him, hasn't Pires already played for Chmp side and done bugger all. He's well past it. and I wouldn't class Kamara as a BIG signing worthy of generating this much hype. When has Pires played (and failed to produce) for a Championship side? Have I missed something?

I like our midfielders, but I'm not keen on our formation when we don't have the ball - against better teams either the formation or the players aren't quite up to the defensive side of their game. We have 3 people in the middle when other teams do that same job with 2 players, not 3. I think our midfield could definitely be improved on, but perhaps other areas are need of more attention - like Vassell who isn't coming up with the goods in any area of his game, if the ball comes to him our attacks break down & his scoring record is dreadful. ps. He's well past it. and I wouldn't class Kamara as a BIG signing worthy of generating this much hype. Where on Earth have you got that from!? He's only played for Arsenal and Villa in England.. To my knowledge, Arsenal weren't in the Championship between the years of 2000 and 2006 and unless I'm missing something, Villa are definitely not in the Championship now..

STUHILL Posted 15 March 2011 Posted 15 March 2011 Always rated Kamara. Very quick and skilful but I think he is a very up and down kinda player. If we get him on an UP then he could be pretty lethal, and cause a lot of problems for defences. Who's place does he take though? For me it would have to be Vassel as you can't drop the Yak and I think Gallagher should stay just for his dead ball ability. I think he is worth a punt anyway.
