cc_star Posted 17 March 2011 Posted 17 March 2011 So whats that then.....we're interested in him?.........or he's interested in us? It's the big signing Sven wants
kyle09uk Posted 17 March 2011 Posted 17 March 2011 It's the big signing Sven wants he's no Klose but I was a fan of his a couple of seasons back, some very acrobatic goals... wether he still has it or not im not sure.. has he done anything for Fulham this in their season?
Callabinho Posted 17 March 2011 Posted 17 March 2011 Sven says Kamara is 'one of the players on his list' and he confirms he's interested in signing him. #lcfc have spoken to 3 clubs re striker - Stringers twitter One player in his list, so read into it what you will.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 17 March 2011 Posted 17 March 2011 think he would be a quality loan signing (although i thought that of Bednar so what the hell do i know?)
shailen Posted 17 March 2011 Posted 17 March 2011 Kamara would be a good signing for us, he is a goal scorer and would bag us a good amount of goals!
HankMarvin Posted 18 March 2011 Posted 18 March 2011 Leicester City manager Sven-Goran Eriksson has confirmed his interest in signing Fulham striker Diomansy Kamara on loan. Kamara has scored twice in 10 Premier League appearances this season but has not featured for Fulham in the past two months . He could be offered a temporary move away from Craven Cottage before next week's deadline after Eriksson acknowledged his interest in the 30-year-old. However, Eriksson is not desperate to improve his options for the run-in and confirmed Kamara is one of several players the club have made enquiries about. "He is one of several we have asked about," said Eriksson in the Leicester Mercury. "I can't deny he is one of them, but he is not the only one. "We have had very little contact with Fulham, and myself almost nothing. It is ongoing work. "I guess Lee Hoos, the chief executive, has been talking to at least three clubs during the last two days. There are contacts all the time. "If it is someone like him or someone with the same abilities, who we feel can help the team to ride higher in the table, we will do it, whether it is a striker, defender or midfielder. "You can't go out and spend millions on a player for the rest of the season but, if something is possible that we think will make the team better, we will do that." Eriksson also laughed off a link to Bayern Munich striker Miroslav Klose, saying: "I heard that the other day and don't know where that came from. I can't even dream to ask anyone about Klose."
MPH Posted 18 March 2011 Posted 18 March 2011 so the mystery remains.... sounds to me like if someone speaks to Sven and suggests enough people we will eventually find out who the others are....
muzzy1981 Posted 18 March 2011 Posted 18 March 2011 Kamara would be a good signing for us, he is a goal scorer and would bag us a good amount of goals! He's not got the most amazing goal scoring record. Yakubu's is way higher. Although this time of the season tired legs begin apperaing so would be a great addition and create more competition for positions.
sphericalfox Posted 18 March 2011 Posted 18 March 2011 Apparently Sven will be talking about his 'big name' signing tonight on BBC Leicester. It'll be a bit clearer whether or not that 'big name' is actually Kamara or the mystery player is one of the other players being looked at.
ealingfox Posted 18 March 2011 Posted 18 March 2011 well if he doesn't already, he definitely should!

sphericalfox Posted 18 March 2011 Posted 18 March 2011 Does anyone know what he said? or if it's been on yet? I didn't get to hear it, but as there's nothing on any forums about it, I'd say it was just Stringer being sneaky, to get people to tune in when he knew he wasn't going to shed any light on the subject at all.
Narborough_fox Posted 18 March 2011 Posted 18 March 2011 Berbatov has been warming the Man Yoo bench recently. What about Torres/ Drogba maybe take one of Chelski's hand so they don't have to bench one of them. With RVP's return Chamakh? Pavluychenko at Spurs hasn't been starting recently may need match fitness.
Fullenglishbreakfast95 Posted 18 March 2011 Posted 18 March 2011 Maybe Sven has his eye on this lad! Wish i was that good when i was that young. Worth a look sven
Jackirius Posted 19 March 2011 Posted 19 March 2011 Pretty nailed on according to RL. He is at today's game. Should have got him to get his boots on and subbed him on for Yakubu.
flanimal Posted 19 March 2011 Posted 19 March 2011 Pretty nailed on according to RL. Should have got him to get his boots on and subbed him on for Yakubu. Finding it difficult to get excited about this now.
Joe. Posted 19 March 2011 Posted 19 March 2011 We'll happily take him, but I can't help but feel it's fairly pointless now.
