Kilworthfox Posted 15 March 2011 Posted 15 March 2011 Agreed, would be a very good signing, always been impressed by him, does score goals. Can he play right wing?

Can he play right wing? yes he can play right wing... good player, lots of pace, a little inconsistent to be fair - when he's hot he's very good, when he's not he goes missing
rico Posted 15 March 2011 Posted 15 March 2011 yes he can play right wing... good player, lots of pace, a little inconsistent to be fair - when he's hot he's very good, when he's not he goes missing should fit in here very well then
MattyFromLE Posted 15 March 2011 Posted 15 March 2011 Better than Oakley! Reckon he'd do a job though!
darko2k7 Posted 15 March 2011 Posted 15 March 2011 awesome signing if true , i've wanted us to sign him for years now
millzi Posted 15 March 2011 Posted 15 March 2011 Hmm, I'm yet to be convinced, will see what he does in these last 10 games before I make judgement. Not what I would particularly consider as prolific but who knows if he has it at this level..
RowlattsFox Posted 15 March 2011 Posted 15 March 2011 Can be frustrating but capable of brilliance. He'd have to want to be here if he's going to turn out a success.
Simo86 Posted 15 March 2011 Posted 15 March 2011 Better than Oakley! Reckon he'd do a job though! What's Oakley got to do with it, they play in completely different positions!!
millzi Posted 15 March 2011 Posted 15 March 2011 Can be frustrating but capable of brilliance. He'd have to want to be here if he's going to turn out a success. Sounds like a certain striker that we already have...
whitlock Posted 15 March 2011 Posted 15 March 2011 Sounds like a slight improvement on Bednar, and he was shite!
smudger63 Posted 15 March 2011 Posted 15 March 2011 Sounds like a certain striker that we already have... yep, i was thinking the same.
Haydos Posted 15 March 2011 Posted 15 March 2011 Better than Oakley! Reckon he'd do a job though! Ahaaaaa Any excuse for random Oakley bashings. Ps. Kamara > Ricardo!
One Arm Babba Posted 15 March 2011 Posted 15 March 2011 not a BIG loan signing if you ask me.... sven is after something with more headline appeal according to bbc LINK hmmmm who could it be
thybluefox Posted 15 March 2011 Posted 15 March 2011 Would replace Vass I guess? Can't seem him replacing Gally or the Yak.
shen Posted 15 March 2011 Posted 15 March 2011 not a BIG loan signing if you ask me.... sven is after something with more headline appeal according to bbc LINK hmmmm who could it be Jovanovic, Pires, Kranjcar... No idea if that's the sort of player he's gunning for
Jimmy Posted 15 March 2011 Posted 15 March 2011 Jovanovic, Pires, Kranjcar... No idea if that's the sort of player he's gunning for injured, past it, just had a run in the spurs team and 'arry likes him
gh09lcfc Posted 15 March 2011 Posted 15 March 2011 How can you say he would be a superb signing. Kamara isn't good enough and is a lazy player, Championship might be his level but I can just see him being another Bednar, plus Kamara isn't a big name. Not what I was hoping for if true.
shen Posted 15 March 2011 Posted 15 March 2011 injured, past it, just had a run in the spurs team and 'arry likes him Pires might be past it, but we only need him for a few months at a level where he can still prove very useful. If not Kranjcar then some other Spurs player. I swear they have so many players they could easily rotate several times a week and still not field the same player twice! Michael Johnson at City is an option too
thybluefox Posted 15 March 2011 Posted 15 March 2011 IMO I don't think this is who Sven is after, not a big enough name (if we are to believe reports) Fully expect him to be confirmed by 3pm now though.

Michael Johnson at City is an option too well who you gunna drop for him? Abe does the defensive job, Wellens creates and king supports Yakubu, you can't bring Pires in and sit him on the bench as he wouldn't join if that was the plan, we need a winger more then a cm as we only need back up for CM
cc_star Posted 15 March 2011 Posted 15 March 2011 well who you gunna drop for him? Abe does the defensive job, Wellens creates and king supports Yakubu, you can't bring Pires in and sit him on the bench as he wouldn't join if that was the plan, we need a winger more then a cm as we only need back up for CM What if its someone who can do a better defensive job than Abe & really takes charge of the game, or someone who can create better than Wellens, or someone who arrives late in the box like King does, but has more than King in other areas of the game. I like our midfielders, but I'm not keen on our formation when we don't have the ball - against better teams either the formation or the players aren't quite up to the defensive side of their game. We have 3 people in the middle when other teams do that same job with 2 players, not 3. I think our midfield could definitely be improved on, but perhaps other areas are need of more attention - like Vassell who isn't coming up with the goods in any area of his game, if the ball comes to him our attacks break down & his scoring record is dreadful. ps. Not aimed at you, but everyone mentioning him, hasn't Pires already played for Chmp side and done bugger all. He's well past it. and I wouldn't class Kamara as a BIG signing worthy of generating this much hype.
