Ziggy1990 Posted 24 March 2011 Posted 24 March 2011 Given Kingy's rise in the Welsh setup, would anybody want to see him have the game of his life against the England. All well and good saying "Be patriotic, get behind YOUR country"...... But given the last 9 months, can't help but feel the national game is playing second fiddle to the club game. Anyway, i for one would like him to do well against us. Your thoughts..... (sorrys if this has been covered etc)
anotherharboroughfox Posted 24 March 2011 Posted 24 March 2011 Club before country. King plays for Leicester. therefore, King.
Kent Posted 24 March 2011 Posted 24 March 2011 I'd rather he didn't even play to be honest just in case he plays quality and becomes a target for some more Premier League teams.
MattyFromLE Posted 24 March 2011 Posted 24 March 2011 Last night...i was watching England vs Holland on ESPN Classics, we won 4-1 in '96...they all showed passion, took a ball in the nuts, shed blood and put their bodies on the line...i feel ashamed of our national teams lack of enthusiasm - if i played for England, it'd make me feel proud and i'd give nothing less than 100% - which is a shame 'cuz that aint happening! King for me.
Wymsey Posted 24 March 2011 Posted 24 March 2011 Don't mind at all seeing him play brilliantly against England as it'll show the millions of viewers that he has developed into a good footballer (By our youth team staff + system) with a good future ahead of him. However on the other hand, if he plays brilliantly, and still hasn't signed a new contract right through to the Summer (scenerio), a PL club would be willing to buy him and tempt us to sell him by offering a big fee for him.
m00nie Posted 24 March 2011 Posted 24 March 2011 england for me.. king wont always play for leicester but il always be english..
Joeb.lcfc Posted 24 March 2011 Posted 24 March 2011 King over country for me as matty said the current england side lack enthusiasm when playing for their country
bigjohn Posted 24 March 2011 Posted 24 March 2011 I would like king to score the first goal, then england score the next five
wurmer Posted 24 March 2011 Posted 24 March 2011 Club before country, therefore King, therefore Wales. England have lost my support whilst most of the wastes-of-space who went on the "holiday" to South Africa last year are still being picked for the squad.
thybluefox Posted 24 March 2011 Posted 24 March 2011 Couldn't give a crap about the national squad tbh, none of the players care so why should I?
sdb Posted 24 March 2011 Posted 24 March 2011 King. Love Kingy, hate most England players/staff/fans. Sorry, 'fans'. Ideal would be 2-2 and a King double but if i'm being honest, I support AK and Leicester more than I do the overpaid, cheating, diving, big-headed underachievers that seem to turn out for England. The World Cup was the final straw for me.
RowlattsFox Posted 24 March 2011 Posted 24 March 2011 Easily England for me, I'll be pleased for King if he does well (I don't actually think he'l play) but much rather England win. I don't really get all this "I don't support england anymore because there all a waste of space" chat, Leicester have had lots of those, as recently as the Holloway team, but it didn't stop me supporting them. But I suppose thats just me.

These are the same idiots with flags on their cars and faces painted down the pub watching the tournamnets every couple of years, but not caring about the games in between. We have to win these games to get to the tournaments you know!!!

But I suppose thats just me. It's not a case of not supporting, it's a case of just not caring anymore. Yes, I'd always like England to win against anybody but to be honest I just don't care at the minute. I feel affection for England, for the Three Lions, for the badge, but I just really couldn't give a toss about who is on the pitch. And that is why I will not be watching on Saturday, just check the result and match report afterwards.
MPH Posted 24 March 2011 Posted 24 March 2011 Now if he could play well, possibly score and we still win then of course that would be the ideal game. However...I would much wrather England thrash Wales 5-0 and king have a mare of a game than us lose and he plays well. Im English. End of.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 24 March 2011 Posted 24 March 2011 King anyday. Leicester come first IMO, and tbh the way England has been playing (Coaching staff, Players not caring) Its not been the same. Let admit it england went downhill ever since King Sven left them!
RowlattsFox Posted 24 March 2011 Posted 24 March 2011 I wouldn't say its a club v country debate either, how does King being a success for Wales help us? The only thing that can come of it is King getting more attention, a goal against England will rise his value no doubt.

Corky Posted 24 March 2011 Posted 24 March 2011 Country, though I like to see our players do well for their respective countries.
Jakemoore Posted 24 March 2011 Posted 24 March 2011 I want England to win 5-6 with King scoring all of Wales's goals
