Guest Posted 19 April 2011 Posted 19 April 2011 thought this was aaron lennon for some reason Edited to avoid any other confusion
purpleronnie Posted 20 April 2011 Posted 20 April 2011 Crazy, when it comes to supporting your team its a different world north of the border.
Samilktray Posted 20 April 2011 Posted 20 April 2011 God knows why hes still there, I'd leave straight away if that kind of bullshit was happening
Ambitious Posted 20 April 2011 Posted 20 April 2011 God knows why hes still there, I'd leave straight away if that kind of bullshit was happening It's ****ing stupid, its 22 men kicking a ball around for **** sake, I want Leicester to do well as much as anyone here, and as much as anyone here I despise Forest, Coventry and Derby, but in any game we play, once the whistles blown for full time, the score is the score, and there is nothing we can do about it, what is the ****ing point in doing stuff like that, its not gonna solve anything, their justy sick, evil bastards who don't deserve a place on our planet as far as I'm concerned.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 20 April 2011 Posted 20 April 2011 Religion and football shouldn't mix. What team do Scottish Buddhists support?
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 20 April 2011 Posted 20 April 2011 Shows what religion means to some. I prefer Rangers and don't really like Celtic but wouldn't dream of wishing death upon anyone related to the club. Its football.
MikeyT Posted 20 April 2011 Posted 20 April 2011 Absolutely unreal. It's a game of football for pity's sake. Keep religion out of it. Really are some messed up individuals out there. They clearly aren't well.
Finnegan Posted 21 April 2011 Posted 21 April 2011 This thread would already be about eight pages longer and full of far more vitriol had the PIRA (or whoever) sent parcel bombs to Ally McCoist. Fact.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 21 April 2011 Posted 21 April 2011 Berwick U17 player wished the bomb killed Lennon I always wonder when stuff like this happens if a lot of Twitter users actually realise that people other than their friends can see their tweets
purpleronnie Posted 21 April 2011 Posted 21 April 2011 This thread would already be about eight pages longer and full of far more vitriol had the PIRA (or whoever) sent parcel bombs to Ally McCoist. Fact. Definately.
Webbo Posted 21 April 2011 Posted 21 April 2011 This thread would already be about eight pages longer and full of far more vitriol had the PIRA (or whoever) sent parcel bombs to Ally McCoist. Fact. I'm sure if there's a football forum in Ireland then that thread is already past the 8 pages. The difference here is that the PIRA (or whoever) would cheerfully blow us up as well. It makes a difference.

The thing is though the Rangers and Celtic rivalry is more than just football it's about religion and the goings on in Northern Ireland, this bomb (if it was sent by a Rangers fan) has absoloutely nothing to do with football but with a Northern Irishman managing a predominantely Catholic team who were against the Northern Irish fighting for freedom. I'm a Rangers supporter but this a step to far would never wish death on anyone. NB: Sorry if that sounded really patronising I was just trying to get a point across.
Finnegan Posted 21 April 2011 Posted 21 April 2011 In theory or real life? Unless I misunderstood what you were trying to say, both. Both groups are complete and total wankers, "us and them" doesn't come in to it. They're both equally deplorable and should receive equal disdain.

They're both equally deplorable and should receive equal disdain. You said that there would be another 8 pages if this was an IRA bombing campaign(I'm not sure it necessarily would btw) when the fact is this doesn't affect most of us. The bomb was sent to a catholic manager of a Scottish team that most of us are indifferent to, apart from the standard 'violence/sectarianism/racism is bad' what else is there to say? If the IRA were to bomb people for being British ie. most of us then there may be more anger. This is not in anyway condoning what has happened.
Finnegan Posted 21 April 2011 Posted 21 April 2011 So you're saying it's justifiable for British people to be happier about their own radicals trying to bomb an Irish catholic than the visa versa?
Webbo Posted 21 April 2011 Posted 21 April 2011 So you're saying it's justifiable for British people to be happier about their own radicals trying to bomb an Irish catholic than the visa versa? Not happier, less bothered. Not necessarily justifiable, but understandable.
Matt Posted 24 April 2011 Posted 24 April 2011 Not normally interested in Scottish football (inc the old firm derby), find it the most boring league in the world, and not really a big fan of Celtic or Rangers but gotta say I'm quite interested in today's match.
Guest Bilo Posted 24 April 2011 Posted 24 April 2011 'Behind our Leader' Great display from Celtic and the Green Brigade.
FoxyPV Posted 24 April 2011 Posted 24 April 2011 This thread would already be about eight pages longer and full of far more vitriol had the PIRA (or whoever) sent parcel bombs to Ally McCoist. Fact. The dissidents have better things to do with their time than send ****ing parcel bombs to football managers. Anyway **** Lennon the fenian ****
