We thought Weale and Ricardo were awful

Think he just had a bad game. He's not in the England squad for no reason, and I'd rather have Loach than Weale.

The rather ironic thing is we often complain that Loach doesn't come off his line well enough!

Think I know why now...

He's a good shot-stopper but surely not England quality unless the country as a whole really do lack quality English goalkeepers?

Did he have the ball in both hands for Yakubu's first?

He clashed with our Number 6 which knocked the ball out of his hands..cannot have too many complaints.

Even Mackay didn't call for a foul which is unsual.

Loach is awful. Looks shaky everytime I've seen him and seems to make mistakes all the time on football league show! How he got anywhere near the england squad I will never know.

Just because another 'keeper had a bad game, doesn't make Weale and Ricardo any less abysmal or even remotely good enough to be our number one next season. Irrespective of Loach's supposed clangers today, those pair are still jokers.

He got into the Under 21s not long after getting into our team so guess the selection was partly down to potential?

Spurs offered 2 million for him last season which we rejected..probably wouldn't get that now.

I was thinking that too, I was looking forward to Mackay and that bald guy with the ginger beard complaining and yelling at the ref after that goal. :giggle:

Ian Walker is worse than Weale. I always get a good laugh watching the 03/04 season review and how crap he truly is.

vs. Bolton

vs. Birmingham

vs. Aston Villa

He's terrible. Now I can look back and laugh hysterically at how no one seemed to resolve this blatant problem. :crylaugh:

Ian walker was a great keeper for us, yes he went through a dodgy spell during spring of 2004 and the Bolton goal was gash but partly down to alladyce exploiting the new offside rules. Against birmingham he did it to save a certain goal, and villa none of the goals were his fault just a **** fan came on to get some attention. How we went down that season I will never know!

You're deluded if you think Walker wasn't better than Weale is.

Was that the same game, peggy just tipped everything onto the crossbar against chelsea. A keeper has to be top of the list for Sven, maybe one of the young keepers from the lower leagues (Smithies maybe?) One we missed out on and would have prob got if sven was here at the start of the season would have been Kasper
