Halfsy Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 He plays for Leicester Sunday League side Wigston Car Breakers, he gets £70 per appearance, apparently. He came off the bench in the F.A Intermediate Cup Final against Sparta Moshdock at Holmes Park, dived to win a penalty and did nothing else really.

somebum Posted 3 May 2011 Posted 3 May 2011 You're the biggest wum ever. Everything we've got/might have is shit but you're a fan of the lad now playing for a pub team. Fantastic. Knew him personally then shithead?
Sergio Hellings Posted 3 May 2011 Author Posted 3 May 2011 Cant fault the lad for taking 70 quid a match for sunday morning football, dont think anyone would !! Serious bankroll for a sunday morning side tho !
Haydos Posted 3 May 2011 Posted 3 May 2011 Knew him personally then shithead? What gave you that impression? I know he plays Sunday league though. No need to get your panties in a twist.
Chap84 Posted 3 May 2011 Posted 3 May 2011 I did hear a small rumour that he had the tendancy to a 5 finger discount in the changing room. Not sure how true this is though He got caught nicking in the club helping himself to other players things hence the reason he never played again.
Stevosevic Posted 3 May 2011 Posted 3 May 2011 Cant fault the lad for taking 70 quid a match for sunday morning football, dont think anyone would !! Serious bankroll for a sunday morning side tho ! I can fault the lad for ruining his career.
ajthefox Posted 4 May 2011 Posted 4 May 2011 Couldn't give a fook what he's doing now. I thought he was alright while he was here, but anyone who ends up playing sunday league in his twenties after being in the position which he was, where he could quite easily have made a career out of it, gets absolutely fvck all sympathy from me. I still fvcking dream of playing for city as do thousands alike and he threw it away.

Socks Posted 20 September 2011 Posted 20 September 2011 dont know why but for about 30 secs I was looking at the title of this post and thinking "WTF has reggae reggae sauce got to do with City?"
Jobberz_Boyz Posted 20 September 2011 Posted 20 September 2011 Levi was never paid any money to play for car breakers, he paid subs like the rest of the lads. He was playing for them cos most are his mates. And yes, I do know him personally.
covefox Posted 20 September 2011 Posted 20 September 2011 http://nonleague.pitchero.com/news/former-leicester-winger-joins-hinckley-6738/ Best of luck to LP. Hinckley might be a way for him to get back to league level. Always had to hear fall from graces.
Thracian Posted 20 September 2011 Posted 20 September 2011 http://nonleague.pitchero.com/news/former-leicester-winger-joins-hinckley-6738/ Well done Dean Thomas. I've stacks of time for Hinckley's manager and he's just the sort of guy who might get Levi back to where he belongs. Levi's due some forgiveness especailly when I dwell on some of the arseholes let back into professional football. Thomas knows a footballer when he sees one and I just hope Levi's got the character to pay him back for his show of faith. It won't happen overnight and there'll doubtless be setbacks because the lad's been out a long, long time. But the talent he's got won't just disappear. The questions will be whether he can get back the sort of fitness he had and whether he can sustain some level of motivation. I hope he does.
!-LCFC-! Posted 20 September 2011 Posted 20 September 2011 Just clicked on this Thread started reading the first few comments then i had a quick look on wiki and saw he had joined hinckley today
Fox92 Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 He was on the bench yesterday I think. Looked on Sky Sports, but the score centre didn't show you any full names (just 'Porter) or any numbers, so you can't confirm it was him although I would think that if he signed yesterday or whenever, it would be Levi. What a player he looked to be for us as well, his goal against Plymouth was great. Strange how some players just fall, but Levi Porter isn't the first and won't be the last.
fox_favourite Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 Just found this link - he does indeed play for Hinckley Utd http://www.soccerway.com/players/levi-porter/15709/

stevelcfc Posted 8 September 2012 Posted 8 September 2012 EX-LEICESTER WINGER JOINS BLABY Steve Orme, manager of East Midlands Counties League club Blaby & Whetsone Athletic, has improved his already strong squad by bringing in former Leicester City wide player Levi Porter to Warwick Road. Following his release from Leicester in May 2010 after appearing thirty-nine times in the first-team, ex-England Youth international Porter played for local Sunday League team Wigston Car Breakers and then played eighteen times for Blue Square Bet North side Hinckley United in 2011/12 after joining the Knitters in September 2011. Orme said: "After his contract at Leicester finished Levi fell out of love with the game and has not been playing, apart from a short spell with Hinckley. “We spoke with Levi in the summer about a possible return to the game and he started training with us several weeks ago to improve his fitness. He has enjoyed the training with the lads and fits in well with our style of play." http://nonleague.pitchero.com/news/ex-leicester-winger-joins-blaby-16042/?
Fox92 Posted 8 September 2012 Posted 8 September 2012 Strange how some players just fall, but Levi Porter isn't the first and won't be the last. He looked like a decent prospect at first player, I recall his goal against Plymouth was great.
foxesfan1989 Posted 8 September 2012 Posted 8 September 2012 Strange that he couldn't get a L2 or Conference side or something. Did he really look that bad with us? I didn't think so.

Is there an echo in here? Is this the traditional annual Levi Porter comment?
