bluearmyfox23 Posted 17 August 2011 Posted 17 August 2011 Season long loan, sign him up That way we're not stuck with his wages if we don't go up This !

tomlester93 Posted 17 August 2011 Posted 17 August 2011 We've bid for Beckford so that Everton realise he's their 2nd choice striker, then Yakubu bid can be accepted as they only play 1 striker anyway and that will be Saha if he's fit. Hopefully
Toffee_Fox Posted 17 August 2011 Posted 17 August 2011 palarse? http://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/threads/37520-Yakubu-can-be-Like-a-new-signing-to-our-not-as-bad-as-people-think-strikeforce?p=910121#post910121
RedHux Posted 17 August 2011 Posted 17 August 2011 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2026405/Steve-McClaren-weighs-Ayegbeni-Yakubu.html? Steve McClaren is monitoring Everton's Ayegbeni Yakubu and Jermaine Beckford as he attempts to find a solution to Nottingham Forest’s striker shortage. Does having 7 strikers constitute a shortage these days?
Babylon Posted 17 August 2011 Posted 17 August 2011 Does having 7 strikers constitute a shortage these days? Having 7 shit ones does.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 17 August 2011 Posted 17 August 2011 Does having 7 strikers constitute a shortage these days? your just being greedy now arent you? Your best signing is DERBYSHIRE - sorry just had to put that in capitals
RedHux Posted 17 August 2011 Posted 17 August 2011 4 shit ones, 2 new and unproven ones and 1 with a broken leg..... You may have a point. The man with no discernible surname played well last night for someone who isn't match fit. We still haven't had more then 2 shots on target in three league games though. Don't think you've got much to worry about next week.
swanny6 Posted 17 August 2011 Posted 17 August 2011 Bring the yak back, sign him not loan cause if on loan he's only here to collect wages but if signs will wear city shirt with pride

Don't think you've got much to worry about next week. Hmmmmm.... I'm still not convinced with our formation. Whether we get a new striker, or not, we lack width and creativity in the final third. Sven's no winger policy was ok last year with Naughton and PVA as attacking full backs (yes I know PVA was shit, but he was still more of a winger than a full back). The game should be 0-0 .... so it'll probably be 4-4!
RedHux Posted 17 August 2011 Posted 17 August 2011 Sounds like it's going to be a bit crowded in the middle of the pitch as we've no width either. Schteve' preferred formation seems to be a narrow 4-2-3-1.

Bob Weasel Fox Posted 17 August 2011 Posted 17 August 2011 Jinxed us now. 5-0 to them then just bloody typical isnt it

Howard9 Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 Sven needs to pull his head out of the sand and offer a bid for yakubu NOW, everton are struggling and even their chairman has said they need to sell before they can buy and moyes im sure wants to get yakubus wage of the bill. and were the club to do it. so if we stook a cheeky bid in im sure they would accept if the price is right, the yaks the player we really need, who can score goals but he needs a partner ( nugent ) cus we carnt play ONE person upfront it just doesnt work nugent either holds the ball up and HAS to turn or he heads it behind him and its in the keepers arms so 2 up front yak and nugent would be a great pair, and thats our striking force sorted.

Perhaps the Yak not will come back! The support for him was not so good sometimes i Suppose! But who knew? If supporters baging him to came back so perhaps! I personally would like it but rember he is LAZY, BUR HE CAN SCORE!!!! :scarf:
bluearmyfox23 Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 From wat I have seen of the everton forums the yak is up to a move back to us but doesn't think Leicester really want him ?
Callabinho Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 pay the money get him in, I'm fed up of not scoring....

It's not that simple - Yakubu might not want to come back, the owners might not be willing to stump up possible wage demands etc.
