Happy Fox Posted 14 August 2011 Author Posted 14 August 2011 All over the papers here that its close for BOTH yak & anichebe So are we after both of them?, I take it you are in the Liverpool area
MikeyT Posted 14 August 2011 Posted 14 August 2011 All over the papers here that its close for BOTH yak & anichebe Woah! Before wednesday please if really true.
jonthefox Posted 14 August 2011 Posted 14 August 2011 Just looked at the liverpool echo online, and theres nowt on there.
Happy Fox Posted 14 August 2011 Author Posted 14 August 2011 The Yak and Anichebe would be a fantastic, Yak as our central striker, with Anichebe on the right and Nugent on the left of the front three, please make this happen :sge:
Toffee_Fox Posted 14 August 2011 Posted 14 August 2011 What Anichebe have you been watching? He's gash. I'll take the Yak easily though.
Happy Fox Posted 14 August 2011 Author Posted 14 August 2011 The Yak and someone like Simon Cox on loan would be perfect, and then a winger such as James Henry from Milwall
FoxTrott Posted 14 August 2011 Posted 14 August 2011 http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/everton-fc/everton-fc-news/2011/08/13/everton-fc-look-to-resurrect-goodison-exits-for-joseph-yobo-and-yakubu-to-provide-david-moyes-with-last-ditch-transfer-funds-100252-29227678/ He might still leave Goodison yet...
CupidStunt Posted 14 August 2011 Posted 14 August 2011 There are rumours Newcastle/Sunderland are going in for him on their forums
FoxTrott Posted 14 August 2011 Posted 14 August 2011 But if Everton are looking to raise funds, we probably have financial backing to put in an offer above those of Sunderland and Newcastle. Whether Yakubu will drop is another matter, but if Everton needed the funds I think we could pull it off. Then again I bet a Turkish club could probably blow us out of the water... Also, Newcastle and Sunderland? Who wants to live in geordieville? Not the Yak I hope.
bluearmyfox23 Posted 14 August 2011 Posted 14 August 2011 Yak yes please but I don't get anichabe bid he can't play out right and I've heard he is exactly the same as yak would be happy to be told wrong tho !
Ian pcp Posted 14 August 2011 Posted 14 August 2011 I have always said we should sign the Yak 11 in 20 is not bad is it? a bit lazy maybe but so are lots of big named players
themotivator Posted 14 August 2011 Posted 14 August 2011 i have to say that i have a bit of a soft spot for old Aiyegbeni.
bluearmyfox23 Posted 14 August 2011 Posted 14 August 2011 Rather have him over Keane tbh. This i have to say that i have a bit of a soft spot for old Aiyegbeni. And this he is also younger i thinK
accessory Posted 14 August 2011 Posted 14 August 2011 i have to say that i have a bit of a soft spot for old Aiyegbeni. So does Wes Morgan. I bet he hopes we sign Yakubu before Saturday, so he can put him in his pocket like he did last season..
Tielemans63 Posted 14 August 2011 Posted 14 August 2011 But if Everton are looking to raise funds, we probably have financial backing to put in an offer above those of Sunderland and Newcastle. Newcastle maybe, but Sunderland have more money than us and can offer Prem football. As for moving to Geordieland, it'd seem like living in Beverley Hills after living in Liverpool for the last 5 years.
fox ache Posted 14 August 2011 Posted 14 August 2011 Yak couldn`t run for half a season, let alone a full one......................... Feed the Yak and he`ll get fat !!!
Toffee_Fox Posted 15 August 2011 Posted 15 August 2011 Yak yes please but I don't get anichabe bid he can't play out right and I've heard he is exactly the same as yak would be happy to be told wrong tho ! Exactly the same as Yak? The only similarity is their nationality and club Yakubu Apps - 275 Goals - 128 Anichebe Apps - 119 Goals - 12 (Yes, TWELVE) Everton fans, I know plenty of them and have been plenty of their games when my mate is working I use his season ticket, Everton fans love Yakubu, an injury ****ed him over and he's not been the same since, Anichebe is just shite because he's not interested. ---- Moyes has offered Anichebe a sympathetic ear this week, following what the 22-year-old labelled his "worst day in football" when he was booed onto the pitch by some sections of the Goodison Park crowd last weekend. "Victor seems fine. I had a chat with him earlier in the week," he says. "I spoke with him about it, but the fact is he's been offered a contract and said no to it. "I've explained it to him and he accepts that. "The booing is part of it. You've just got to get on with it, and play and show what you can do. The disappointing thing is that he has not played so much. "I made the reference that the supporters don't boo Steven Pienaar, even though like Victor he has rejected a new contract, but that's because he's out there playing and giving his all. "If you do that the supporters will cheer and clap you." -- The Everton striker, Victor Anichebe, has put his place in tonight's FA Cup derby with Liverpool – and his long-term future at the club – in serious jeopardy following a training ground row with manager David Moyes. Moyes responded furiously to Anichebe's latest injury complaint, doubting the severity of the problem and ordering the 20-year-old, his only available forward for tonight's tie, to leave the club's Finch Farm training ground. Everton have declined to comment on the incident, although club sources confirmed that the striker had to be escorted from the training ground by members of the club's medical staff. == It would be wrong to say that he has played his final game for Everton, as it is understood Anichebe has been repentant in the time since the story of the row emerged, apologising to Moyes and his team-mates. Monday was not the only time during the window that Anichebe asked if he could leave Everton, where he is amply rewarded financially, and if he really feels that way, that is his prerogative. But he must remember one thing: Wherever he ends up will be one, possibly two or even three steps down from Goodison, and you can guarantee his eyes will be opened. Do Hull City have a training ground like Finch Farm? Do Hull City have nights like the Blues experienced against Liverpool? How many European campaigns have Hull City been involved in? While Everton's players cavorted on Wednesday and supporters revelled in beating the Reds, Anichebe, who spent the evening at home, will have had a glimpse into the future. One wonders if it was as rosy as he thought. --
crazylegs1984 Posted 15 August 2011 Posted 15 August 2011 i still want the yak to join impressed me last season and he can still the job for us i hope its not over with our interest
Callabinho Posted 15 August 2011 Posted 15 August 2011 Alan young can't seem to understand that in a 4-3-3 you really need the central forward to stay central, not drift off into channels every attack. The Yak made runs that he needed to! Half the time he met the ball in the box and bagged a goal. In that formation Nugent and gally should suit the wings perfectly.
