Ross_Spencer Posted 15 August 2011 Posted 15 August 2011 @Fourth_Official Fourth Official I'm going to go with Mr Moyes wrapping them in cotton wool (Baines, Jagielka, Saha & Cahill) Yakubu is probably transfer related#EFC
cc_star Posted 15 August 2011 Posted 15 August 2011 I don't see why anyone would want to lower their wages by choice, unless it's for a dream move (which I'd hazard a guess that we aren't). Wonder if we can bend our wage structure. hope we can get him, would like to see Nugent, Yak & Gally running out for us
Toffee_Fox Posted 15 August 2011 Posted 15 August 2011 It did have me confused for a minute, was wondering how Everton were playing!

Wonder if we can bend our wage structure. hope we can get him, would like to see Nugent, Yak & Gally running out for us Most footballers don't want to be sat on the bench or in the stands so are happy to take a pay cut to play regular football. The Yak clearly knows he's not wanted at Everton.
Happy Fox Posted 15 August 2011 Author Posted 15 August 2011 The wage structure is like my cock, it will not bend!!!!! Dirty Boy!!!! We all love the Yak, feed the Yak and he will score, give him feeding i.e service from a pacy winger providing crosses we will need two get on to it :sge:
Ash Posted 15 August 2011 Posted 15 August 2011 Yaks wages are the problem. The owners didnt mind paying 6 months of it cause he was always gunna go back Everton. Say we sign Yak on a three year contract at 40k a week and we dont go up, weve got another two years of paying the sloths wages! There not willing to take the risk, simple. Having the Yak back on loan would be brilliant for us but not Everton, There skint and want/need the cash, so seeing the Yak back here is very doubtful.
Spiritwalker Posted 15 August 2011 Posted 15 August 2011 I've had a feeling all summer that if we failed with bids for Maynard and Long we might bite the bullet and go back for the Yak. I think now, most of us would welcome him with open arms.

The Yak clearly knows he's not wanted at Everton. Based on what, your presumption? All the feedback from Everton is that he slotted straight back in the 1st team squad & everything was fine after Everton cancelled our £3.5m bid
Happy Fox Posted 15 August 2011 Author Posted 15 August 2011 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2026405/Steve-McClaren-weighs-Ayegbeni-Yakubu.html? Steve McClaren is monitoring Everton's Ayegbeni Yakubu and Jermaine Beckford as he attempts to find a solution to Nottingham Forest’s striker shortage. Everton are eager to offload Yakubu, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Leicester, and McClaren knows the Nigerian well from their time at Middlesbrough. On his way? Everton are keen to offload Yakubu who was loaned out to Leicester But Forest could face competition for Yakubu from Leicester, who have also expressed interest in Everton’s Victor Anichebe and Bristol City's £5m-rated Nicky Maynard.
themotivator Posted 15 August 2011 Posted 15 August 2011 i would get YAK on my shirt if he signs. not only is it cheap but it spells the end of this ****ing striking saga. oh god i even hate calling it that.

Dan Posted 15 August 2011 Posted 15 August 2011 If he goes Forest I'll probably hang myself. That would be the absolute ultimate kick in the bollocks.
Happy Fox Posted 15 August 2011 Author Posted 15 August 2011 I will say this again, Forest is a tenuous link, they have just signed Miller and Derbyshire, this is agent talk, and a ploy for Sven to get a move and sign the Yak as well as Beckford

Dan Posted 15 August 2011 Posted 15 August 2011 I've just looked on Fourth_Official's Twitter, absolutely no sign of that Yakubu tweet? One of three things, I'm being blind, he's deleted it, or the person pasting it has reeled in loads with a nice copy, paste & edit job.

cc_star Posted 17 August 2011 Posted 17 August 2011 Season long loan, sign him up That way we're not stuck with his wages if we don't go up
