Very happy for him, a lot/if not all City fans were disappointed when he was being pushed out of the club last summer. Definitely deserves it, true blue hero.

Birch's love of the club must be a lot higher as he has been appreciated by the club for his passion. :fox:

The guy's a hero. Thoroughly deserved Birch!

Absolute bloody star! And a true city legend. He looked completely knackered near the end of that run, then again so would I...

I'd be a great ambassador for less than £30k+ a year, I'd also be willing to do a few laps of the pitch once a year as well. Fair enough he doesn't have to do the charity part, so fair play on that.

Not a fan (although i'm sure that was obvious).

Babylon from Wigston being able to run may not carry the same level of credibility

After the way the club's treated him this was the least they could do.

Birch is a genuine friend of the fans, and I do mean that.

Birch has to be one of the most annoying people ever! He makes me cringe everytime he opens his mouth. However his heart does seem to be in the right place.

Pleased for the bloke, he cares about the club and will probably step aside in a couple of years anyway.

Lifetime contract?

Does that mean we wil still be wheeling him out when he is 90, colostomy back intact and pinching the bums of the new even younger fox girl cheerleader people?

:D

Only joking, Birch.. congrats to you...

He has spent so much of his life either playing for or working for the club he deserves an accolade such as this. It is nice to see the Thais recognising this and rewarding him accordingly especially after MM tried to discard him in such an unsavoury manor earlier this season.
