I was lucky with my first 2 packs and got Alex Song and Danny Welbeck so they went for about 5k together which can start the base of your team then I discard most of my bronzes then put the silvers up for 150 then some golds for 300+.

Weale :S:P

I've tried to get Kasper but he's expensive. I don't even feel safe playing with him in goal and it's a game :P

Everyone else seems to get on fine with it and I can't figure it out. No idea why :P

I remember getting a hammering of someone with an immense team on it whilst I had some Saudi striker as my star player, was dreadful.

I'll probably just stick to playing online. Even though I preordered the ultimate edition or whatever it is .. I'll most likely never play it UT!

Fact is some sad acts spend real money on buying packs to get the best teams. I know of people who have spent up to £80 on last years UT!

Same here makes you wonder where they get their money from in order to be able to waste nearly hundred quid on creating a virtual football squad

Then the thing is they'll keep doing it year after year just wasting money on virtually nothing!

Now as you know i was quite critical when it came to the demo but i had an impluse buy and decided to get a season ticket

So anyhow i got it last night (took about 2 hours to download)

Overall it seems to have majorly improved from the demo, i actually found it fun to play!! Of course tacticial defending is going to have to get used to, i'm not gonna give up on it either as a better game of console footie will be had when it's some what mastered.. Precise dribbing is great when you learn it, i skimmed somebody with Nugent last night and took a shot from distance and was like "ahhh i'd see that in real life!"

The player impact engine while a great move is abit buggy and times it's comicial but it's not buggy to the point the game is broke because of it, just sometimes players may get tangled into one another and it actually makes for some funny moments, i can take that as it makes me laugh (i'm just immature)

I certainly do see an improvement from the demo like i said and i think i will buy this now.. Also a good move from EA to include sliders that control the tempo of the game more from AI players on your team and AI in whole.. Passing, shooting, etc, etc can all be tinkered with and that could prove to be a very decent move from EA

I'm sure some more bugs will be found and patches will probably be released but so far it seems alot better than 11..

Playing against a mate, even on the demo is so much more enjoyable than playing the computer. I've been playing on Professional and I was Man City v Dortmund and the computer finished with 94% passing accuracy. It just isn't realistic and makes it really ****ing boring, all I'm doing is chasing down the opposition, they just never misplace passes.

On the other hand, most of the rest of the game looks great. I really like the new defending system, gives you a lot more control and makes it a lot more competitive and realistic than just holding 'close down' all the time. Passing feels a lot nicer as well, although that might be do do with the first touches as well, it all feels like you have a bit more control. As well as that you can actually run past players now. If you're running at a flat footed defender at pace you will have a good chance of going past him whereas before he would have been able to turn and instantly be going at full pace. This goes well with smaller players not always being knocked off the ball like in previous versions. Players like David Silva and Messi can hang onto it under pressure from several players on occasions.

In all it feels like a really polished Fifa 10. They've improved a lot of aspects (and defending system aside) seemed to have focused on the realism and making it more enjoyable to play (at least that's how it feels playing with mostly manual controls). All in all, very looking forward to the full game.

It always is going to be against a mate or on live/psn, but i think the full version may have improved on that abit.. I certainly saw passes going astray, not loads of times i add but it does happen

Hopefully, it seems like more of a chore on the demo. I'd like a good career mode tbh and if playing the comp is a chore then it's gonna be balls again.

True, it could be possible i haven't looked on the sliders that EA have put into this game whether putting them down would result in a few more passes going astray!

Anyone got any good tips on how to get money?

I can't seem to raise any cash at all and I have 1 coin at the moment :dunno:

How do you guys get so much money?

I can't seem to raise anything and my only source of income is the daily gift and 90% of the time it turns out to be a mini bronze pack :'(

Buying and selling

What you want to do is buy players for less, it sounds obvious but when you see a bargain, buy him and sell him on for a profit. This might not seem a good idea, and it might take forever to raise a decent amount, but you will honestly make money. It needs to be the right player though. For example, I wanted Lewis McGugan yesterday but there was only 4 on at 2 - 4k each. An hour later, I searched again and won McGugan for 400 coins! Now, I've wanted him for ages, but because I won him for that amount, I might put him back on for2k and hopefully I'll get a good profit.

Depedning on how much you have, depends on the player and size of the profit. I mean, if you have like 50,000 coins, you'll be better off buying and selling players like Robben and Gerrard etc

Matches

When you play matches, you get coins. Simple.

Or, you can buy a gold pack and hope to get Messi in it

This is a good idea, just click and hope.

One of many.

EA with new technology shocker once again (see NBA Live 2010 for instance).laugh.gif

Have you played the demo? The impact engine is decent in my opinion and looks great 99% of the time. Like someone else posted, it's no biggy for me. I've probably played about 30 or so games on the demo now and I've had it glitch on me once.

Hahahaha, you can't help but laugh... TBF tho i have rarely seen it much in the full version, and when it does happen like once when two players got caught up in eachother and rolled around abit i just had to laugh! Of course overtime it may just start pissing me off, but at the moment i'm in that "laughable stage"

Oh and Messi would still be good on one leg!
