I usually play a normal online game online every night with my dad and brothers, but I can't see where to add any guests on fifa 12. i no how to get into a friendly with someone from your friends list. i would think it was the same as fifa 11 press TRIANGLE ???

orangecity23 Posted 30 September 2011 Posted 30 September 2011 Liking the game so far, the new defending isn't too bad, the tutorial is a pretty good intro to it. Loving the player photos on the match ratings etc, that's a nice touch. Started a new career mode, then threw a hissy fit when the Tunch wasn't on our list of loaned out players! Fear not though, he is in the game as part of the Bulgarian national team, and you can add him back to us using the same method from Fifa 11 (See http://forum.ea.com/uk/posts/list/21859.page for details) Tunch

Petchy Posted 30 September 2011 Posted 30 September 2011 So called 'tactical' defending has ruined this game online. Even if your shoulder to shoulder and you press 'B' he won't tackle them like they used to in FIFA 11 if you pressed A. It's awful!

Got 2 news messages at the same time, one from Kebe syaing he was joining, and another from the board saying he had decided to go to Ipshit. So I plowed ahead and completed the signing, got the news feed shit saying I'd signed him, ****er shows up in my transfer list, but he's not in squad! Checked the injury list, and he's on Ipshits injury list! To top it all off, the money I bid for him has all gone. Bah humbug!

It's almost exactly the same as before but this time you time the tackle yourself with 'B' rather than the computer controlling it. It's barely different, only like tackling is on 'manual' controls which you should all be playing on anyway, if you're not you should be embarrassed!

I didn't bother with Fifa 11 because every year I bought Fifa on the day of release and then found after 4 or 5 weeks it seemed to be down to about £15 on pre-owned, so thought i'd hold back last year but the lowest it seemed to go down to was £25 and before I knew it Fifa 12 was almost ready for release. I'm tempted to get this but don't really play on my PS3 anymore, although if I bought this i'd probably get back on it, that mixed with the fact I can never seem to play it online when i've player previous versions (It's my internet/ports that are the problem but after contacting Playstation, ISP, Router manufacturers, I never seem to get and help/support on how to open the certain ports, and in the past have ****ed the whole houses internet connection up so just leave it now, but its the fact PS3/E.A/Fifa should make it 'universal' for all ports or something, because it's not just me who have had the problem I know a couple of people, whether it's possible to make it 'universal' for all ports or whatever I don't know, I not very technical like that) Doesn't seem that many offers this year, they all seem to be selling it around the £38.99 - £40 mark, normally you can get it for atleast £30 maybe even £25. Tempted.

I've played on manual for years, yet this new system is still poor. Yes, it's about timing and such which has always been fairly easy if you jockey then go for the tackle. But this year the tackle animation itself seems slow and completely in-accurate tbh, especially in side by side tackles. As a result, you can basically just run at people online in a head to head and score because you can be fairly confident you won't get tackled if the other is using the 'B' tackle. Also the button config could be better, I personally shifted teammate contain to 'B' and tackle to 'RB'.
