Iwan is a Welshman Posted 21 May 2011 Posted 21 May 2011 AFC Wimbledon promoted to the Football League beating Luton Town on penalties at Eastlands. Took 'em 9 years from bottom of the pyramid. Fantastic achievement. Football belongs to the fans after all.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 21 May 2011 Posted 21 May 2011 Crime committed joe. Who gives a toss where it goes? You're right though, a great day for football
Guest DavidJCW Posted 21 May 2011 Posted 21 May 2011 Brilliant news! I think it's fantastic what the real Wimbledon fans have done and so quickly too... it really is an amazing achievement. Well done AFC WIMBLEDON!!!
Fox92 Posted 21 May 2011 Posted 21 May 2011 God I can't wait for when we see Wimbledon v MK Dons. I know
Winchester Posted 21 May 2011 Posted 21 May 2011 Such a great result. Every proper football fan's 'other' club.
jonthefox Posted 21 May 2011 Posted 21 May 2011 I read the other day that they still charge kids £2 to get in. Definatly a 'proper' football club.
MPH Posted 21 May 2011 Posted 21 May 2011 Excellent news. I did fear for them when i heard they were against Luton. *puts on Keegan face* I would Love it, absolutely Love it if they were to get MK Dons in any of the cups next season.... Cracking news and i just cant even imagine the Joy some of those fans must be feeling after nine long years.... This is not even the end of the story!!
Father Ted Posted 21 May 2011 Posted 21 May 2011 And even Kermorgant scored today! Great day all round!
Poakey Posted 22 May 2011 Posted 22 May 2011 Wonder what percentage of mk dons fans base used to be Wimbledon fans
lcfc"weasel" Posted 22 May 2011 Posted 22 May 2011 Wonder what percentage of mk dons fans base used to be Wimbledon fans 0.1% at most. AFC WImbledon fans don't recognise MK as a club, if they were to play each other at Stadium:MK the away end would not have any real AFC supporters in it.
Gaffer Posted 22 May 2011 Posted 22 May 2011 0.1% at most. AFC WImbledon fans don't recognise MK as a club, if they were to play each other at Stadium:MK the away end would not have any real AFC supporters in it. You mean the home end? as AFC Wimbledon would be away... and therefore in the away end?
wattolcfc Posted 22 May 2011 Posted 22 May 2011 If this game happened i'd be trying my upmost to get a ticket in the away end. I've been to a lot of derby games and love the atmosphere. Went to THAT game this season between Celtic and Rangers at Celtic Park when there were 3 or 4 sendings off.. was crazy!
Master Fox Posted 22 May 2011 Posted 22 May 2011 Couldn't care less. This ^ Why do any of you care? Who gives a fcuk about Mk Dons/Wimbledon?? Weirdos
millzi Posted 22 May 2011 Posted 22 May 2011 You mean the home end? as AFC Wimbledon would be away... and therefore in the away end? I was thinking the exact same thing That post didn't quite add up.
accessory Posted 22 May 2011 Posted 22 May 2011 This ^ Why do any of you care? Who gives a fcuk about Mk Dons/Wimbledon?? Weirdos There but for the grace of Top...
Haydos Posted 22 May 2011 Posted 22 May 2011 You mean the home end? as AFC Wimbledon would be away... and therefore in the away end? What? He's saying none of them would bother going.... And as for not caring....it's just empathy for another football club/fans on the whole.
C.J Posted 22 May 2011 Posted 22 May 2011 In the wrong section I think. Who cares? Well done to the crazy gang, nice to have you back in the football league.
liamsm Posted 22 May 2011 Posted 22 May 2011 And even Kermorgant scored today! Great day all round! I bet it wernt a pentaly
lcfc"weasel" Posted 22 May 2011 Posted 22 May 2011 You mean the home end? as AFC Wimbledon would be away... and therefore in the away end? I was thinking the exact same thing That post didn't quite add up. No, I mean the away end would be empty at Stadium:MK as the AFC fans wouldn't travel and pay money to line Wankelman's pockets so therefore the away end would be empty.
