mathew hatton v kell brook and martinez v macklin on Sat night.

Carl Frampton is on the bill aswell. He wants a slice of the Quigg/Munroe/Martinez pie according to his management. Havent seen him fight before either so should be an entertaining night of boxing.

Quigg V Munroe set for June 16th. Minibus will be going up to the Velodrome.

Love Rendall but can't see him pulling this one out, Quigg looks the real deal.

http://www1.skysports.com/boxing/news/12183/7637962/Quigg-v-Munroe-is-on-

Scott Quigg will put his unbeaten record on the line against veteran Rendall Munroe at Manchester Velodrome on June 16.

The duo, who are both promoted by Ricky Hatton, will fight for the interim WBA super-bantamweight title.

Quigg, the current British champion after beating stalwarts Jason Booth and Jamie Arthur last year, is one of the nation's most promising prospects.

But he will need to be every bit as good as they say he is when he comes up against Munroe, the former Commonwealth and European champion who was brave in defeat against WBC champion Toshiaki Nishioka in Tokyo in 2010.

The pair have been on collision course since Munroe joined Hatton Promotions and the time is now right for the stablemates to clash in what promises to be the biggest domestic fight of the year.

"The fight has been brewing since Rendall signed with us and we have got there," said Hatton.

"It is about giving fans what they want and this is a match-up of the highest quality between two of the world's best 8st 10lb boxers.

"The winner will go on to mix with the world's elite fighters and it won't be the end for the loser.

"It is possible he can fight Commonwealth champion Carl Frampton who is learning his trade and is a big prospect for the future.

"It is certainly the biggest fight Hatton Promotions have staged in the UK and I am sure the public will support it."

Definately going up to that one, have to be honest I do think Rendall gets beat though. Quigg has the talent to be the new Hatton.

Flying out to Mayweather V Cotto tomorrow morning.

Looking forward to it, Mayweather should win but the fight being at light-middle does make it interesting. Be interesting to see if Cotto can land enough to the body to be able to start wearing down Pretty Boy in the last few rounds.

How jealous am i!

Just out of interest, are you going to vegas purely for the fight? Would love to do something like this in the future so interested to know how much everything cost you?

Cheers

I looked at going out to one of the Hatton fights (Forget which one), I didn't end up going but you could buy packages and I think you can get it very cheap (Again, forgot prices but sure when I was looking at it I couldn't believe how cheap the package was), obviously you won't have very good seats and probably will end up watching it on a Big Screen as you wouldn't be able to see much but half of the excitement and fun of going would be for the atmosphere (For me anyway).

I think the reason the package is so cheap is so you spend more whilst you are there, obviously you'll end up in the casino's and drinking - which would no doubt be where it became expensive.

Flight was £550, tickets £350, Hotel £150, taking £800 to spend for 5 days, not going purely for the fight but I try and get to Vegas at some point every year and will try and actually organise the trip around the fight. If's it's an Englishman fighting tickets are a mare though, Hatton V Floyd my ticket at face value was £250 and it cost me £800.

Mayweather Marquez you could get £300 tickets for £190, Pacman V Cotto you were paying just less than face value.

Fantastic place, you can't fail to have a good time.

We went to the Etihad a few years ago to watch Hatton v Laszcano(sp.) We had seats quite far back but could still see ok. Like you say though its more about the whole experience. If you wanted to watch the fight more intensely then just pay the £15 & watch it at home.

Yeah that was a great night of boxing, proper homecoming. Froch's will be decent next month as well.

Top tip is to get yourself to the bars off the strip, no need to pay 7$ a pint when you can pay 2-3$

froch bute should be quality too, anyone going?

I am as patriotic as the next man generally but i just cant seem to like the guy. I understand the boxing mentality of coming across as being overly confident so as not to show weakness and all that but, i dunno...just seems abit of a cocky keeunt

pretty good fight, really... Largely hispanic crowd were not able to sway the judges... correct decision - Mayweather deserved to beat Cotto.

Although it has to be said Cotto did land some great punches and faired much better against mayweather than he did against paquiao... Yet another reason why I can not wait to see Mayweather fight Paquiauo...

From the Haye-Chisora press conference....

The two men then exchanged another barb, revealing they had seen each other in London recently. Chisora said: "I saw David Haye a couple of weeks and he pulled a knife. Haye responded: "I was eating a steak. It was in a restaurant."

lol

I do not understand how the boxing board of control can sanction a fight in another country against the wishes of that Countries boxing board of control.

Niether fighter has a liscence ( Chisora wont be given one) so the Luxomborg boxing board of control are liscencing it. Ludicrous.
