Do it in London please. Not this soulless place.

British Boxing has sold its arse to the Saudis now. Even some of the British level fights are being put on the undercard of these events in Saudi  instead of headlining on York Hall/02 type events - One of the chaps on the undercard tonight said he never wanted to fight in the UK again!

Fantastic fight. Usyk definitely shaded it and deserved the win, but I think you could make a case for a win for either or even a draw. There were a lot of rounds you could have given either way. I had it 6-6 with Usyk winning with the knockdown.

Once it has finished I said to my Dad it would be Usyk spilt decision, seemed about right to me.

I'm struggling to understand how is this a split decision and a close call. For 15-20secs on the 9th the ref was trying to prevent a huge KO and, as Finnegan correctly explained above to me, a possible health damage to Fury.

Usyk deservedly won the fight. He was 2 up for me. Fury is a warrior but old father time looks like it has caught up with him.  Ballooning up and down in weight did for Ricky Hatton and looks to me like it has done the same for him too.

It was close I had it by one, but yes that should have been called a tko

I think the ref let the occasion get the better of him and actually didn't know what to do. Was a tough call but yeah. But seriously how did Fury not go down and then in the next round just come back as if nothing had happened.

The ref giving him the count there was wrong imo. He should of either let it carry on or stop the fight.

Would of been outrageous if Fury had won that on points after that incident.

The ropes saved him.

The question is, is Fury the type of person that can get himself in better condition than he has tonight to try and win. Will he trigger that clause.

Also, who else does Uysk now fight? Parker, AJ (again), Wilder ….. he beats them all.

This is why I asked about the state of the rules nowadays as I don't follow the sport anymore. Surely if the ref's obviously protecting the athlete from a severe KO it should be an automatic TKO?

What did he say? I've switched it off

Uysk true champion.

He couldn’t call it when it went to the judges, as they sometimes see it differently, however Uysk deserved it and is the greatest champion of this generation.

Not just great boxing, however he’s a true hero for Ukrainians.

Yeah that would be called a tko in normal circumstances, but something weird happened there

In the 9th David Haye is right, you shouldn’t stop it and step in unless calling a tko

Yep, I said earlier in the thread I thought he stepped in too early.

Sly posted above he was saved by the ropes. Idk what this means. Are there WWE rules now in boxing?
