bald reynard Posted 8 July 2011 Posted 8 July 2011 IF we sign Tunch, Ball & Hargreaves, I'm sure Consultants at BUPA and the Nuffield will be very happy - and plenty of overtime for the Physio's here (and throughout the County). Knee surgeons in Sweden are also on standby ! Seriously though, I do hope they all make it and get back / maintain full fitness, for one season at least. All 3 are quality players and if they come (or in Tunch's case, come back) - and stay (reasonably) fit - it could be a huge bonus for us.
accessory Posted 8 July 2011 Posted 8 July 2011 Nice post. But I fear the three of them signing for us, and then completing a season unscathed, is about as likely as a EuroMillions lottery win.
MikeyT Posted 8 July 2011 Posted 8 July 2011 Not bothered at all about Ball, but Tunch i would love to see back and of course a fully fit Hargreaves would be awesome. Really do hope Tunch gets offered something from us if he can prove himself in pre-season.

Hack Posted 10 July 2011 Posted 10 July 2011 Didn't Sven say something about he was sort of joking when asked about nterest in Hargreave saying he was interested. I get a sence that our talking about Hargreaves is just that we are talking about him as an option, but Sven doesn't
Liamlcfc1 Posted 24 July 2011 Posted 24 July 2011 Tunch will be offerd a new deal and ball has done enough to earn a contract

Guest ttfn Posted 24 July 2011 Posted 24 July 2011 Ball looked a bit chunky yesterday, and Stringer said he'd lost weight. Christ knows what he looked like before pre-season.

Happy Fox Posted 24 July 2011 Posted 24 July 2011 Ball looked a bit chunky yesterday, and Stringer said he'd lost weight. Christ knows what he looked like before pre-season. I imagine he will get more fitter as a back up to Konchesky not bad is it
Raw Dykes Posted 24 July 2011 Posted 24 July 2011 I was sure Ball would sign for us, but the last I heard about Tunch was that we were going to release him. I think Tunch getting a new contract is great news! If, and it is a big if, he can get fit again, and become even half the player he was when he first joined us, then we have another great Championship centre-half in the squad. Possibly even among the best in the league. If these two sign and regain full fitness, then we have a formidable Championship defence with plenty of depth and competition for places. Now, let's find that bloody striker.
Walshy5 Posted 24 July 2011 Posted 24 July 2011 Great news about Tunchev! . Im going to get slated for this but i really dont think we need Ball. Bruno Berner is more than good enough to be back up for Konchesky.

davieG Posted 25 July 2011 Posted 25 July 2011 Merc confirms nutt26's post Sven-Goran Eriksson says he will hold talks with defender Michael Ball about a contract with Leicester City. The manager has also hinted he will offer Aleksandar Tunchev a new deal. Michael Ball, right, takes in Leicester City's Franck Moussa during a training session in Sweden Ball has hardly played for two years because of injuries and has been trying to impress Eriksson during pre-season in Sweden and Austria – and he appears to have won over the City boss. Although Tunchev has not played in the last two friendlies, against Bursaspor and Valencia, he may have also convinced Eriksson that he also still has a future at the club after his two years of injuries. The Bulgarian is out of contract at the end of the month, but Eriksson said he would open negotiations with Tunchev. "We will probably start talking to Ball and Tunchev the week after next," said Eriksson. "Ball came on (against Valencia) and I think he did very well at left-back. "He organised the team, he talks and is one of those guys who is very important in the dressing room. "He is very professional and he is also very positive in his attitude. "I think so with Tunchev, too. I think we will offer him a contract, but wait a week and we will see."

Rob tanner/Ian stringer were interviewing Sven infront of me, we stood and listened and spoke to Sven etc after, i got my info from when rob interviewed Sven
