MC Prussian Posted 8 July 2011 Posted 8 July 2011 Just saying - how about adding a new title/label for all opposing fans on this forum? I know some of them make it clear whom they support - be it through their username or the avatar they're using. Still, couldn't we implement some kind of text just underneath the poster's name to indicate which team he/she's supporting? And whilst being at it, why not put their names in the respective colors of the club they're supporting? For example, "Bristol City supporter" or "F*ç%st supporter"... It's more an attempt at making a clear distinction between home team fans and visitors.
lavrentis Posted 8 July 2011 Posted 8 July 2011 Why do away fans even come on here? Seems like a lot of effort to accomadate fans that dont even support our club.
ajthefox Posted 9 July 2011 Posted 9 July 2011 If anything I think this distinction would just cause more arguments.
Finnegan Posted 10 July 2011 Posted 10 July 2011 Be very annoying to moderate. Especially given 99% of away fans only sign up when it's relevant, for a few weeks. You'd basically just have RedHux, Part of the Crowd and Lamby with these titles and - at the end of the day - they're far more welcome here than half the city fans, so why make them feel like outsiders when, ultimately, they aren't?
ozleicester Posted 10 July 2011 Posted 10 July 2011 Why do away fans even come on here? Seems like a lot of effort to accomadate fans that dont even support our club. coz we is well massif innit!
Zingari Posted 10 July 2011 Posted 10 July 2011 Can't they be forced to wear yellow badges or something ?
FoxyPV Posted 10 July 2011 Posted 10 July 2011 When it says how long have you supported City and they say "Never" or "Always an Owl" that usually gives away the fact that they don't support Leicester
Jimothy Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 I've seen something like this on a Newcastle board my mate goes on. Toontastic Looks good.
The People's Hero Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 Its a credit to this forum and the moderators that so many away fans come here and stick around. Many many other teams don't have a single forum as well run as this. We really are spoilt with this and TB (Talking Balls, not Tuberculosis - thats a bad, bad thing) I prefer FT, obviously, but just saying.
Fox92 Posted 12 July 2011 Posted 12 July 2011 I've seen something like this on a Newcastle board my mate goes on. Toontastic Looks good. You mean where the badges are? I saw the Newcastle fans had Newcastle badges, but there was a Sunderland fan who had a Sunderland badge under his member name. That does look good.

Theres a Blackburn fan who posts on there too, and it's the same for him.
DB11 Posted 12 July 2011 Posted 12 July 2011 Maybe at registration, alongside 'Supported City Since' there should be a mandatory field and you either have to fill in the Supported City Since bit, or, 'Team Supports' ?
Fox92 Posted 12 July 2011 Posted 12 July 2011 I've seen on other forums as well, where it says 'location', 'posts' etc, theres a 'favourite player' label, either current or of all time. I'd like to see one of those on here. I'm not sure how hard it is to add/edit though ... This has nothing to do with opposing fans like.

With the option of 'Supported City since' and individual Avatars there's really no justification for either the Mods to get involved or for Mark to start altering the profiles even if he could.
Blinking Blue Owl Posted 19 July 2011 Posted 19 July 2011 What's to stop someone lying anyway ? pretty pointless exorcise .
Daggers Posted 19 July 2011 Posted 19 July 2011 There should be a space for favourite Monster Munch flavour.
