CosbehFox Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 3 reasons I reckon a) Clear some deadwood, before more numbers b) Awaiting till August when the price start to come down c) Most top clubs like to see potential loanees in pre-season before letting go. That said a striker has to be a priority and the lack of development from anyone other than Maynard is still concerned (though I'd like to believe the club are conducting silent negotiations on another striker elsewhere to avoid getting ripped off again).

Wasn't even close to being excited about Nugent coming in due to his overall poor goalscoring record, looks like another Vassell to me. Maynard is not worth any more than £5million and the Yak doesn't want to drop to the Championship. Houston, we have a striker problem. How things stand on a striker front, we won't score very many.
