Not concerned

the worst that seemingly can happen is that they pull out, well if they want their money back they'll have to get us up first & then anyone buying it off them will be locked into ensuring we're at least modestly successful because of their probably inflated purchase price. the only problem comes if you're ran like Portmouth, where the owners kept paying themselves massive amounts whilst running up massive debts in the clubs name which they then avoid by selling the club time after time through some convoluted pyramid scheme meaning bankruptcy will be inevitable and all that will happen then is we lose points probably face relegation, but crucially we we're worth next to nothing again so someone will be able to buy us, Manderic-style and start he process off again.

Chill out guys and look forward to the season ahead.

These boys are here to stay.

Unless you now top or his dad personally im not sure how you could know this, or is it just an opinion?

Our owners only know him. They've done nothing wrong are dead genuine. Mandaric never bothered doing up the training ground like these have.

Do you really think they'd go out to sponsor us with their successful worldwide company, re-name our stadium if they were either corrupt or in it for a fast buck.

Not only would they be in a very shaky position, but more importantly for them, their well renowned name would be going through the mud.

The media will do anything they can to make a story out of nothing.

So the programme was made up nothingness?

Just watching it now.... gotta say the programme makes a big deal out of 'Investors just being in it for the money,' a 3 or 5 year turnaround' heard that one before?????

Wow.... an investor in business to make money... next they will make a programme about bears shitting in the woods.

But.... it does dissapoint me the amount of corruption in football these days

Well, my opinion, for what it`s worth, is that if Top and his family weren`t here for the forseeable future, they wouldn`t bother investing so heavily off the pitch, as in the training ground, and the stadium, for example, because if and when they sell it, the price they get for the club, will be dependant on the success we have on the field, and what division we are in, and not that we have a state of the art training ground, and a bigger club shop.

They would have no need to invest off the pitch at all, if all they were thinking, was to make a fast buck and sell up.

All the clubs mentioned to the 'prospective buyer' in the documentary were fairly obvious - Leeds, Birmingham, LCFC, both Sheffield clubs - not necessarily because they're for sale, but because from a business perspective they're appealing. If any of these clubs get to the Premier League then all the plastic fans are going to come out of the woodwork and the gates are easily going to be over 35k every week. Yes, they could sell them at a newly inflated price, but being in the top flight means they can also make substantially more money just by keeping hold of them.

He's hardly going to put, say, Middlesborough forward is he? Even when they were in the top division they were struggling to attract crowds.

The other point is that this Sim guy is clearly a blagger. He's obviously well connected, but it's in his interests to play up just how closely he is connected to all these people in order to justify his commission. Ferguson, for obvious reasons perhaps, has already distanced himself from Sim. It's perfectly feasible that all he did for our owners was name drop and highlight the fact we were for sale, or were a good investment, rather than completely orchestrate the deal as he claimed.

Of course, you dont seriously think they scoured the league looking for a team and came up with us do you?

This is unfortunately football investment these days, English clubs are touted around the world like cheap prostitutes and picked up by rich asians so they can funnel quite a few quid out, I worked with companies who do a lot of stuff in China, Thailand and Vietnam and while its "legit" no one makes serious money without resorting to some pretty distatesful and unethical stuff.

There is a reason why the Germans are banning investment from abroad in thier leagues, it will end up a total disaster for the English but we will reap what we sow as we actually invite this in now in here for a gamble at short term success.

What was the link between the Joe guy and Top? That they're both Thai? There was no real link and no evidence of a link. + LCFC was just mentioned as a potential target because it is a much more appealing business venture in terms of fanbase ect. than other clubs in the championship.

Really am considering trying to watch as little english football as possible next year, its the most disgusting bent game on these shores now.

I wonder who our owners really are, obviously we have been given to King Power somewhere down the line but I bet our deal was done in that Manchester Utd bar as well.

All the Thais seem to contact him for help it said, which sort of figures out.

No doubt this goes far higher though, probably even up to the government, quite clear in some way shape of form there is a plan over in Thailand from the top to buy up numerous clubs here and filter them down through different Thai ownership,

The fact Sheff Wed came up so many times who are now run by MM makes it quite probable they were involved with Mandaric in some way before we were sold.

Sad times just how bent the game has become.

Bloody Brighton!

On a serious note though you have a point about the MM link. Football seems to be on a slippery slope in terms off allegations and corruption. Deeply worrying.

Why would they sell us in the premiership for a profit if others investors were to come in for even more profit? Out of interest how many of these businessmen have came in and made a profit?

Everyone keeps saying this yet the industry is around 3billion pounds in debt? It really isnt something you would get involved in a business venture is it when you look at the situatin properly.

The way some people are looking at this through tinted specs is bizarre, I absolutely dread to think what the final consequences of all this investment over the league will be. Boy the Germans have got it right with the finance licensing for every club and home ownership, no wonder they can stand up and pay 12 euros a game.

Just a thought, they say in the programme, there after 2 'Championship Clubs' one of which was Sheffield Wednesday (which also means this was film last season, right?), then the Siim guy says that Sheffield Wed had been recently bought, so there targeting another but he won't say in case it gets bought again, could that of been us when Milan Mandric went to Sheff Wed?

If that made any sense..
