Ectopic Pregnancies

In short, thanks to everyone who has replied and wished us well, it is much appreciated.

The Wife is home at the moment whilst the treatment is working (Hopefully) and we have to go back to hospital on Monday and Thursday for further blood tests etc to see how things are progressing. From what the regsitrar/consultant has said, it will be in the next two days where the pain / bleeding / nausea etc etc are at the worst points so im not looking forward to that although obviously i am purely concerned for my wife on that score. Sadly due to this and also previous medical difficulties, the honest answer is that my Wife will probably never be able to have children but that drama will be for another day.

Anyway i really just wanted to thank people for their kind wishes - thank you all

Not a problem, really hope your wife does not have too much of a rough ride this week. This is sad news ,keep strong.

Thinking of you both, Carlito. I'm sure the forthcoming weeks, months even, will be tough for you both but try to stay strong for her and take care of each other.

Tough times mate. Although I have not exeperienced anything like this directly, I have had one or two incidents reasonabaly close to home and you and the wife will need a lot of support over the coming weeks from friends and family. In my experience men and women handle this sort of thing differently, and most of the focus (rightly so) goes on the woman. She will need your support and help but make sure you take the time to discuss your loss yourself. You can see by the messages here that everyone wishes you well but men are notoriously crap at talking about this sort of thing.

Please let me add my best wishes to you and your wife at this difficult time and wish you well for the future.

thanks once again for the messages of support, very much appreciated.

For info, the wife is due back (yet again) for more blood tests tomorrow (the last test revealed hormone levels were still rising, which is a bad sign) so we are unsure at present if she will need a further injection or the full operation to remove both overies. Not bothered about much else anymore, just want my wife to be healthy :fc:

Close friend and next door neighbour had one. Was very emotional at the time, but in the end she now has a lovely and healthy daughter.

Hang in there and stay positive :). Hope all goes well, mate :)

Can only offer you both my best wishes, as many other people on here have done.

How did the blood tests go?

glad to say better than the previous ones. The hormone levels have come down again, although still not what they should be it is much more positive, thanks for asking. The emotional stuff has now started, bless her, as she realises the cells are slowing dispersing (they call it a mass not a baby medically speaking) and she is coming to terms with the fact. Once again thanks to everyone for their kind wishes and thoughts it is really appreciated as it really is a lonely thought provoking time.

Nice.

Those of us who've gone through this fully understand how you're both feeling, and it sucks. Just hold onto the fact that it will pass, the pain will ebb and fingers crossed for the future.

Chin up chap :)
