Right I give up - been searching for this fabled ignore button but can't find it anywhere... a little help?

If you click on the small white drop-down arrow next to your username (top right of the screen) there's a 'Managed Ignored Users' option where you can add as many cretins to your ignore list as you want.

If I was bert, I'd be just as annoyed at the people constantly hounding him for information.

When he knows something he'll tell you, constantly saying "BERT WHAT DO YOU KNOW" isn't going to make him find out more.

I feel like I should preface this by saying that I appreciate both Bert and Liam's information, and hope that they continue to post.

But if you decide to quit after getting some minor abuse from someone you don't even know, that does raise the question of why you post the info in the first place?

There are 2 basic reasons you might post the information:

1) You are keen to provide the forum with the best possible information as quickly as possible, thus giving users early access to info and boosting the forum's profile.

2) You enjoy the buzz of providing the information and the reward of people praising you for giving them in-the-know info.

Surely, if one was really posting in the interests of sharing with the forum and benefiting City fans as a whole, one would continue to post in spite of the nonsensical ramblings of one or two isolated forum members. Most people really appreciate the info.

Maybe it's more complicated than this.

In my experience, folk who throw toys out of the pram and announce plans to quit a message board very rarely make good on their threat. In general terms, they're such attention-seeking divas that they're drawn back like moths to a flame.

That said, this forum, and the transfer talk section in particular, have become a magnet for a lot of the more cerebrally-challenged City fans. Bert is far from alone in being irritated by them..

Are you sure there's no upper limit on this?

I thought the current campaign is to #getwellensontwitter; I can only focus on one stupid Leicester City-related internet campaign at once, otherwise I'll start getting really confused.

Bert won't go, from what i have seen on here he don't give a shit what people think and this was probs just a bad day at the office for him!

I hate that too. When Bert pops up with a snipit of info its great. The constanst badgering would annoy me too. Can some of you stop doing that "weres Bert when you need him" Jesus wept I've heard that so many times it makes me cringe. Ignore the ****** Bert we appreciate you.

Maybe Bert could transfer to the roof?

He'd be welcome on TB.

Bert won't find a forum where he will never get some flak.

In fact I believe he's as well thought of here as he will be anywhere.

It's his choice but it would be nice if he just bunker's down and accepts that, for every ignoramus who doubts his word or gives him stick, there are many more who are grateful for and who appreciate all his input, me being one of them.

I'm finding myself in agreement with Thrac.
