Cockney Fox Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 I want to know other City fans opinions on this. For me, The Poznan is Manchester City's celebration. We've nicked it. It's not ours. With all the other similarities between us and them (Sven/ex Man City players/rich new owners/people saying we're buying the league etc.), isn't this just going a step too far? We're not Man City, we're Leicester and we should bloody well act like it. I know they nicked it from Polish fans, but at least it was new over here. I don't get it either - surely linking arms but facing forward would give them same effect to the rest of the stadium, but allow you to see what's going on? As much as I like a unique celebration, I'd really like us to pack this in and do something original.
Wymsey Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 Sorry but my head is going to explode. There's been countless threads about this damn goal celebration.

AoWW Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 Oh, and where's the 'I don't care just stop banging on about it' option in the poll?
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 Oh, and where's the 'I don't care just stop banging on about it' option in the poll? just turn your back on the whole idea then
Shrenchel Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 What do you suggest? Cheering a bit, awkwardly swaying about to some shit goal music and then carnival de paris. It's gunna revolutionise the way people support football in this country.
whitlock Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 I was at the Community game today and when City scored they did the Poznan for each goal and to be fair it looked mint!! Unfortunatlely it won't catch on at the King Power but certainly away games it would do. IMO it has to be done properly IE everyone doing, if not it will look shit.
Ashley Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 Fosse Boys did the Grecques before Manchester City played Lech Poznan. Leicester fans didn't realise what they were doing untill the Manchester City game in the cup. FACT.
Cockney Fox Posted 7 August 2011 Author Posted 7 August 2011 What about making Yuki feel a bit more at home by some Urawa Reds style bouncing?
lcfcadam Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 This is becoming an active annoyance rather than just a silly topic that I was able to leave to a bunch of ****** to argue about. Usually you can just ignore threads discussing stupid stuff you're not interested in but at the moment I can't look at ANYTHING on here about Leicester without having to come across stupid points of view on one side or the other. Do the people calling for "something more original" or calling the Poznan "embarrassing" really think that their poxy opinion is going to change the view of anyone else when actually at the ground? You either do the celebration or you don't - no one forces you to. You're not going to be able to stop other people doing it. You might find it cringeworthy, you might find it a good laugh, either way it's just your fecking opinion and no matter how much you discuss it the people who enjoy doing it will carry on doing it. Please put an end to this inane argument, which is actually far more embarrassing than the celebration itself ever could be...
Mee Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 Can't we all just get naked, get our scarves and rub them inbetween our legs. whist sideways, in sync?
Dan Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 I'd genuinely piss myself if Man City ever dug at us for doing this as we "stole it off them". Fact is, loads of sides in Europe do it - now, I'm not being funny, but did every single one of these manage to make the exact same thing, at the exact same time? Did they fvck, I doubt Lech Poznan themselves invented it, and if they did, plenty of other sides in Europe will have therefore nicked it off of them, sides with support we could only drool at. I think the mentality of it in England is awful mind, the biggest off put, for starters calling it the wrong name, not actually singing anything to it, making it so obvious that they've nicked it and bigging themselves up as some sort of Ultras, and the worst bit being the media. I think it looks better than anything we do in our stands personally, mind I can definitely see the tinpot element. I think so many would fvck it off to "stay original" when the reality is the majority of our songs that get any sort of airing at aways were nicked anyway and hardly anyone seems to come up with anything original, and the Fosse Boys, who IMO come up with the most original songs out of all our support, get laughed off.

fox ache Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 "LEICESTERS BROUGHT THE POZNAN, LEICESTERS BROUGHT THE POZNAN LALALALA" :frantics: :frantics:
John Matrix Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 What about making Yuki feel a bit more at home by some Urawa Reds style bouncing? wish we had atmos like that at the King Powaah!
Nocturnal Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 Fosse Boys did the Grecques before Manchester City played Lech Poznan. Leicester fans didn't realise what they were doing untill the Manchester City game in the cup. FACT. Are the Fosse Boys still going strong? I haven't heard much from them for a while.
fox ache Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 What if we all stay dead quiet when they score, and all look away when the players are looking
John Matrix Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 Are the Fosse Boys still going strong? I haven't heard much from them for a while. their mums banned them from associating with each other j/k lads
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 Not like we're the first team to 'copy' another. How many teams sing 'Just can't get enough' ?
RowlattsFox Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 Those that want to do it, do it. Those that don't, don't do it. Simples. I personally think its a bit shit, might as well do it facing the pitch, atleast it will different to Man City then I also noticed Celtic doing it earlier, and looked as though everyone did it. By the end of this season, majority of clubs will have sections doing it then it will die a death and something new will come along for everyone to disagree about.
Happy Fox Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 If we could do it facing forwards it would be good
undey Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 I don't mind, but either everyone should do it or no one because it looks silly if only some of the fans do it !
lcfcsmith Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 When we played Man City I'd never seen it before and it sounded like a stampede, it was quite intimidating so if everyone does it then it could be quite good, but it looks pathetic when it's just 3 or 4 people doing it
cc_star Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 No, it's ridiculous at least it means something to man city. The kids seem like it though As mentioned above, do it facing the pitch, at least it would be a bit different whilst still looking good if enough people do it
