Dan Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 What about the chant for opponent's goal kicks? That's ours isn't it? It would be good if we could come up with more original stuff. I'm sure we're the only club in the UK who do that. Seriously, I think our fans can be pretty noisy but we don't do ourselves any favours with the lack of originality, and, of course, a proper slow anthem.

Dan Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 so were not original but you want us to have a slow anthem.. has no others got a slow anthem then??? Oh, don't you just love this place, full of people making shit attempts at twisting your words. No, a slow anthem unique to us, that people actually do sing, when you're smiling? "that people actually do sing" sadly doesn't seem to apply to our fans.
Dicko Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 I've already put my thoughts on this in other threads, but it's not really a big deal I guess, as people's minds won't be changed either way. Personally I won't do it and don't know any City fans (in real life not on here) who will, because I think it implies that we don't have our own identity. But other people clearly think differently, so if they want to turn around and jump up and down when we score then go for it.
bluesbrothers Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 What's the issue? People enjoy it. If you find it "embarrasing" and dont want to look at it, just turn around and while you're at it jump up and down to de-focus your eyes.
covefox Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 could i point out that "the huddle" started in the UK by celtic before man city. eg this video from 2008
Guest Bilo Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 could i point out that "the huddle" started in the UK by celtic before man city. eg this video from 2008 Much older than that mate, this video depicts Marseille doing it in 2006. Note the name 'Grecque,' which is correct.
David Lowe Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 The 'boing, boing' celebration at the Albion wasn't invented, it just came about over time. That's what happens, you can't just invent these things.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 Whereas the wave is a signal of maturity, wit and intelligence... Did I mention the above as being such? Err, I don't think so. Can you not read properly? Get some glasses!

easilee Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 Cov frightened and bewildered at something called passion from our players.
irDeano Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 terrychristian terry christian Just spoke to an old school acquaintance of mine who works at the FA , the FA are going to ban The Poznan on health & Safety grounds From a journalist in Manchester: http://twitter.com/#!/terrychristian Hopefully it's just a rumour and nothing comes of it (though I know a few would be grateful if it got banned...)
Webbo Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 The way things are going we won't be seeing it that often at the KP any time soon anyway.
EnglishOxide Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 I don't like the grecque, but what the ****?

Webbo Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 First time I've seen this rather than being part of it. It looks good, really good.
Dan Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Cov frightened and bewildered at something called passion from our players. I can understand why Citeh do it (even though I think it's stupid), as they travelled to Poland and saw the Poznan fans doing it. But a club doing it that has no reason to?
joeybside Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Looked effing great over at the East Stand from SK3. One of the only things that made me smile all game. This afternoon and the T20 this evening has aged me 10 years
lestajigs Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Looked brilliant from the family stand, well done to ya all in L k and j3 blocks
broughtonblue Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Liked how the family stand tried to join in today.
1976Saint Posted 28 August 2011 Posted 28 August 2011 Just put this on the player rating thread. But us Saints fans were in stitches when you did this celebration. Really cringeworthy. Made you look quite tinpot.

Made you look quite tinpot. Who cares what you think! For some reason, some of your fans seem to think your the next Man United in the making, well it`s early days, let`s just see where you are in May. The arrogance of some of your fans made our tinpot club beating you all the sweeter! Now do one Scummer!

The arrogance of some of your fans made our tinpot club beating you all the sweeter! Now do one Scummer! And what a great opinion of your clubs fans you're giving me, bless. Please chack my posts, I've been nothing but complimentary about your club. Who cares what I think? I would imagine in the grand scheme of things, not many. However, this is a forum. It's a place to express opinion. If it was all about wanting the opinion of people that really matter, it wouldn't work and everyone who just talk to their mates. so, I'll post my opinion as much as I like, thanks! I think the majority of Saints fans are quite realistic and would be hapy with mid table. I'd snap your hand off for 6th right now. I would say the ones that think we're the next Man Utd are ones that haven't been fans for very long. Much like a minority of your fans that think you're the next Barcelona in the making. Now, calm down a bit hunny. Good luck for the rest of the season Scummer and proud x
