Guest BlueBrett Posted 28 August 2011 Posted 28 August 2011 I know I should really be saying 'who cares what opposition fans, the media etc think' but the truth is I think I do a bit and honestly I find it a bit embarrassing. So a small section of our fans and those who read this forum know that the Fosse Boys did it first... So? Does that make you feel good? That doesn't stop everyone else in the country thinking we copied Man City because we've still got stars in our tinpot eyes from our big 'glamour tie' last season. Nobody will ever believe anything different. Furthermore, I've decided that it actually looks pretty shit. Even when several hundred people do it at once the embarrassment of those not joining in is palpable. Weve got so many new players and it is such an exciting time for the club I would so much rather we focus our efforts on coming up with some new, decent and original songs that we can all sing with pride. Just my opinion like.

With all the other similarities between us and them (Sven/ex Man City players/rich new owners/people saying we're buying the league etc.), isn't this just going a step too far? We're not Man City, we're Leicester and we should bloody well act like it. I know they nicked it from Polish fans, but at least it was new over here. I don't get it either - surely linking arms but facing forward would give them same effect to the rest of the stadium, but allow you to see what's going on? As much as I like a unique celebration, I'd really like us to pack this in and do something original. I dont know whats had more threads this or maynard

They went to Poland and picked it up on their european travels and bought it back to England. They are original in that sence that nobody here ever did it. They adopted it. You lot just saw it and copied. Just like you have with 'Oh when the saints..' Next you'll be singing your own version of 'You'll never walk alone'. Come up with something yourself. Something that has a tie with LCFC. Haha fcuk off! You only sang 'When the saints'. And when you did early on we outsung you, then got bored with the same song over and over. We sing that more than any other chant as it's OUR chant. It's the chant that is associated with our club more than any other. We also sing it better than any other club who have their own version (although Spurs do it well recently) You know as well as I do we sang plenty of other chants. We've also been doing the slowed down version if "oh when the blues" since the play off semi away at Cardiff which was two years ago. 95% of supporters adapt songs from what other fans sing.

Forgot you had it copyrighted anyway. I very much doubt the Majority of our fans would know the words to the songs you've mentioned, they don't even know the proper words to "our" song, so no.
