Ultra Posted 26 December 2008 Posted 26 December 2008 A decent point for them, considering they were without Adebayor and Fabregas. If they buy well next month, they still have a shot at that all-important 4th place.
lildave3 Posted 26 December 2008 Posted 26 December 2008 Good old Villa, always good to see Arsenal drop points.
Corky Posted 26 December 2008 Posted 26 December 2008 Villa lucky to get a point. Arsenal were lucky not to be at least 4-1 down at half-time. Three times Villa hit the woodwork and Gallas made a fantastic block as well.

Phube Posted 25 January 2009 Author Posted 25 January 2009 It's BACK!!! Adebayor... Come on the Welsh boys!!
dandannieldanok Posted 25 January 2009 Posted 25 January 2009 Decent result for Arsenal on a ground where their total football was never suited, they'll secure an easy passage through in the replay.
Phube Posted 8 February 2009 Author Posted 8 February 2009 Arsénal playing football how it should be since 1996? 79 Red cards... in 12 seasons!? Mr. Wenger take a bow! That's some stat.!
Matt Posted 9 February 2009 Posted 9 February 2009 I hate Arsenal and dislike Wenger I have made this well known, but for once I do have to praise Arsenal. All these knee jerk sackings, giving no time for manager to turn things round, Most club would have sacked their managers by now, but Arsenal are sticking by Wenger, Many clubs would love to be in Arsenal's position now but by Arsenal's 'standards' the last few seasons have been touch and go, and poor tbh but Wenger is still their. Personally I don't mind because Wenger seems to have lost his touch, and as shown in the previous few season's Arsenal have done pretty shit, and long may it continue. Slowly I think the top 4 is crumbling. Villa are just breaking into it, hopefully others can join Villa and finally break the bore of the top 4.

Wenger is still there because Arsenal were so fooking superb a few years ago. They went unbeaten for 49 Prem matches. In my view despite not winning the champs league they were the best football team in the world. Pires, Viera, Ljungberg, Henry, Reyes, Bergkamp, Campbell, Lauren, Cole, Cygan, Edu, Gilberto, Kanu in his prime was superb. And even now, Wenger has an unbelieveable crop of young players and eventually they will click and simply rip the league apart again.

Matt Posted 21 February 2009 Posted 21 February 2009 And the "BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOS" ring around the Emirates
Phube Posted 22 February 2009 Author Posted 22 February 2009 And the "BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOS" ring around the Emirates The Natives are getting restless!!! Wenger OUT!!!
Matt Posted 1 March 2009 Posted 1 March 2009 And the boos are ringing out for Arsenal! ...Once again. I'm loving this Arsenal ain't losing so it could be better but i'm more than happy with their poor performances, unexpected losses/draw, not winning, position in the league (Could be lower in the league but realistically this is the lowest they would go, and this is a crisis at Arsenal)
Phube Posted 1 March 2009 Author Posted 1 March 2009 Oh my word... how lame are "The Premier League's Best Footballing TeamTM" at the mo'!!?
MC Prussian Posted 1 March 2009 Posted 1 March 2009 I love Fulham for what they're doing this season. Well done for stopping Arse-nil! Schwarzer is my hero.

But if/when Wenger goes, things could go seriously wrong for the gooners. With £200m still to pay on the stadium, they desperately need Champions League football season in season out. As Leeds found, once that stream of revenue runs dry, financial meltdown can follow. And as at Elland Road, it would be highly amusing to see an arrogant army of fans getting to grips with lower-league football.
Corky Posted 1 March 2009 Posted 1 March 2009 With Everton showing real form, Arsenal have got to start winning matches again. Is it time for Wenger to move on?
Ultra Posted 1 March 2009 Posted 1 March 2009 Could be. He seems to have passed his sell-by date with Arsenal. If the Real Madrid job came up in the summer, Wenger might relish the challenge there, as well as the lavish salary that would undoubtedly be on offer. The question would be who could Arsenal get to replace him?

Tilley Posted 1 March 2009 Posted 1 March 2009 The Arsenal board would already have an idea on who would replace Wenger should he leave, it is quite a well run club.
Samilktray Posted 1 March 2009 Posted 1 March 2009 Theyll still finish 4th. Far better side than Villa.
