Finnegan Posted 21 April 2009 Posted 21 April 2009 Hope Arsenal go and do Man Utd over. I don't really care who wins the league but I would like to see it go down to the final day.
Joe. Posted 21 April 2009 Posted 21 April 2009 Wow, what a brilliant game. I know it was the same scoreline, but that was far more enjoyable than the Chelsea match for me. Look at the stats, and Liverpool were quite clearly all over Arsenal for 90 minutes. A mixture of some good goalkeeping from Fabianski and some average finishing meant Liverpool didn't go in winning at half-time. Thank god for Torres eh? Arshavin is probably wondering who's smiling down on him today. 4 attempts, 4 on target, 4 goals. In the right place at the right time for the first, absolutely superb for the second, slightly lucky for the third and hit on a nice counter for the fourth. Wenger will be delighted with this scoreline with the way it panned out on the night. Two points dropped for Liverpool, and effectively the title in the bag for United now.
Bert Posted 21 April 2009 Posted 21 April 2009 Liverpool's defence have utterly, UTTERLY melted over the last few games.Fair play to Arshavin, I was one of the first to call his transfer over-hyped but he has been good since his arrival. Not that much.
Tilley Posted 21 April 2009 Posted 21 April 2009 What a fucking game! Arsenal are becoming what Newcastle were under Keegan in the 90's, the mentality of "Score more than the opposition." Unfortunately Liverpool got a 4th back. But wow. What a game. Arsenal are as good as anyone going forward. Arshavin, Walcott, Nasri, Van Persie & Adebayor. Think they'll give it a real go in the Champions League. Hopefully they'll have Clichy back, because Ronaldo will tear Gibbs to pieces.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 21 April 2009 Posted 21 April 2009 Just like to point out that I did say that Arshavin would settle quickly when people doubted his ability after his transfer.
C-man Posted 21 April 2009 Posted 21 April 2009 Andrey 'I'll do fook all all game, but pop up with 4 goals' Arshavin
lcfc_jme Posted 22 April 2009 Posted 22 April 2009 Arsenal were absolutely gash in defence, but epic going forward. I'd just like tyop suggest that all tyhe plastics in Sioar Point were ****ing shit at celebrating goals. No pints in the air, no tables pushed over, no hugging strangers, nothing. What pathetic excuses for plastic ******.
Tommeh Posted 22 April 2009 Posted 22 April 2009 I think i celebrated the Arseanal goals more than the ****** in Soar Point, no injuries/smashed glasses or anything. Fooooools. Great game.
lcfc_jme Posted 22 April 2009 Posted 22 April 2009 The mopngs in Soar Point probably had the most timid goal celebrations I've ever seen in my life. I think we celebrated mopre at Stoke away last season than they did tonighty. What a compelte joke.
lou Posted 22 April 2009 Posted 22 April 2009 Loved this game........... what an epic and we just knew Liverpool were gonna score again in the last couple of mins. Thought the last offside was harsh........ or was the 1st offside? Cant remember now but thoroughly enjoyed this as a neutral and wished Arshavin was in our team........ brilliant! Shockin defending from both sides at times but all made for wicked entertainment... one of the few times lately the Premiership hasnt been boring!
lildave3 Posted 22 April 2009 Posted 22 April 2009 Incredible second half, Arshavin gave a lesson in finishing and both teams gave lessons in how not to defend. Tommy celebrated Arsenal's goals a fair bit!
Matt Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 Abit premature maybe, but I couldn't see Liverpool pulling it back now, let alone the Arsehole's. Love it.
Ultra Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 Abit premature maybe, but I couldn't see Liverpool pulling it back now, let alone the Arsehole's. Love it. The footage shown on TV tonight was even better.... It's a good job the gooners have a women's team, otherwise the Emirates trophy cabinet would still be empty.
Matt Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 The footage shown on TV tonight was even better.... It's a good job the gooners have a women's team, otherwise the Emirates trophy cabinet would still be empty. The stadium was similar to that after around 70 odd minutes.
Ultra Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 Apart from the away end... The mancs' support was as impressive off the field as their team was on it.
Matt Posted 10 May 2009 Posted 10 May 2009 Love it. Again. The stadium was similar to that after around 70 odd minutes. Again. They're here, They're there, They're every ****ing where, Empty seats, Empty seats
Edmund Posted 10 May 2009 Posted 10 May 2009 Arsenal really need to fix up. Really are a sinking ship. I know they are still in the CL but they cannot compete with the big boys consistently.
Ultra Posted 10 May 2009 Posted 10 May 2009 Wenger's still in denial. He really thinks this group of players will improve next season. If Fabregas goes to La Liga (not necessarily Barca), the gooners' 4th place slot could be under serious threat.
