FoD City Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 Hello foxes, Yes I'm one of the 200 that has bought a ticket to the game tomorrow night. I must be mad. Please try and keep the score respectable. If our goal difference is still in single figures by the end of the match I will be delighted . I was just wondering where a good place to park for the match would be? I was thinking about parking in morrisons. Are they quite strict on matchdays (bearing in mind I plan to be in Leicester for about 5ish) ? Also, any away friendly pubs that do decent food? Any help will be great. Cheers lads

Cheers lads I park in the rowing club right near the stadium, £5 to get in and easy to get out
Messi Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 Park in freemans commons next to morrisons mate, your car will be safe and its only £4 with proceeds going to charity.
jordan_lcfc Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 Bristol Fans you must be ashamed of yourself, 200 fans is a joke..
kam6 Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 Do not park in morrisions or the cinema car park as you may be fined. Best to look for paid parking, but arriving so early, the parking people may not be about? Nandos is just around the corner in freemansnear morisons and that always goes down a treat. i would wish you and your fans good luck, but i wont as we need to WIN!!!
Vardinhio Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 Come on mate, you can'y expect an away day pub when only 200 fans bother turning up! Hilarious how some Bristol fans were saying Leicester was a sideways step, they are proving themselves wrong big time. Brizzle Rovers would never bring such a dismal following.
Christoph Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 Alright lads, give the guy a break, he's only asking where to park. Atleast he's one of the select few willing to come down. Also as for food, theres a nandos and local hero 10 minutes walk from the stadium but if you go down narborough road/braunstone gate (few minutes in the car) there are LOADS of restaurants.
FoD City Posted 16 August 2011 Author Posted 16 August 2011 Bristol Fans you must be ashamed of yourself, 200 fans is a joke.. Agreed 200 is a joke but there are a few reason why not to go: 1) We're going to most probably lose 2) Our performance on Sunday means less people interested 3) People are still struggling with money 4) People are working till 5 so wouldn't make kick off (and believe that would be a waste of 1/2 a days holiday) I'll still be there!
danny. Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 there should be parking in the saffron lane athletics stadium about a 5 minute walk away
Topman Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 Easy boys, least he is making the effort to support his team, u can park near narboro rd/ upperton part for free and it's 10min walk, u be fine there resident area and plenty of grub to eat

Cheers lads I'm very much a pessimist where Leicester is concerned but you are off the mark with your forgone conclusion that you will lose. In my experience Leicester are always capable of losing games which they "should" win!
Larry_LCFC Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 96 Freemens Common Road Leicester LE2 7SQ Stick that in your satnav. Thats the place Messi suggested and where i park. Very friendly. £4 and 5-10 mins from the stadium. There are several charity car parks across the road and around the corner if that one is full but at that time it wont be.

Maybe park local hero/odeon whilst you get some snap then hop over to freemans common around six. Excuse me, can you give the the time please? Ten past four mate
Bugg Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 Park across the road from Leicester Crown Court, it's free after 6 I think.
Tom17LCFC Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 Best bet would be on the sides streets off Narborough/Upperton Rd. 10 minute walk from the ground and plenty of fast food takeaways on the way. An extra 5 minutes to Freemans Common if you're looking for pub grub!
1964FOX Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 Park on the main car park near to the Counting House pub opposite Morrisons. Away fans are welcome in the Counting House and the food is reasonable and low priced. You will be there before the car parking stewards turn up and as long as you use the pub they let you park anyway. I will be in the pub, my forum name is on my shirt come and say hello if you want. Any one who travels long distance on a Tuesday night to a game against a team that means nothing to them has my respect.
Father Ted Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 IMO don't park on Freemens common, it takes AGES to get out, upto 30 minutes at times so don't bother there. Try some of the side streets off Welford Road.

markbsac Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 leicester tigers ground 3 quid...10 mins walk to ground
FoD City Posted 16 August 2011 Author Posted 16 August 2011 thank you for all the advice. I certainly have a couple of options now. Hope you enjoy the match .. not too much of course
