m00nie Posted 26 August 2011 Posted 26 August 2011 Fourth_Official Fourth Official Maynard fee agreed reports are false, talks are open & structure of the bid is being discussed, the merry go round has started with Baldock
MGLCFC Posted 26 August 2011 Posted 26 August 2011 Nope - people were saying last year we shouldn't sell Andy King for less than £6mil - would we have been ripping teams off? It's an inflated market and you have to speculate to accumulate. £6mil could be very good business if his goals propel us to the Prem.
Jollie Posted 26 August 2011 Posted 26 August 2011 Nooooooooooooooooooooo. I don't know who to believe Fourth Official or TransferHawkEye or neither. The idea of selling Andy King would bring back too many bad memories of selling any half decent players cos we needed the money/were a cheap amature set up/ had a manager who had no sense/the player got sick of carrying a squad with 7 left backs in it. 6 mil is defo worth it if we get in the Premiership!

Nod.E Posted 26 August 2011 Posted 26 August 2011 Fourth_Official Fourth Official I'm not saying the Maynard deal isn't happening, its very very close to finally coming to a conclusion, not quite accepted yet though, soon
Guest shearfox Posted 26 August 2011 Posted 26 August 2011 What has happened with Baldock? We haven't even shown any interest in him?
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 26 August 2011 Posted 26 August 2011 What has happened with Baldock? yeah good point is he still in Blackadder?
bluearmyfox23 Posted 26 August 2011 Posted 26 August 2011 What has happened with Baldock? Signed for west ham
Guest shearfox Posted 26 August 2011 Posted 26 August 2011 Fourth_Official Fourth Official I'm not saying the Maynard deal isn't happening, its very very close to finally coming to a conclusion, not quite accepted yet though, soon By Wednesday we will all know for sure.
Ashley Posted 26 August 2011 Posted 26 August 2011 We haven't even shown any interest in him? I know for a fact, our scouts have been watching him in recent games. Nothing more. Same time I got about Baldock the same person said WestHam and Reading and Southampton also interested but obviously he's gone to WestHam.
Guest Posted 26 August 2011 Posted 26 August 2011 4th official just tweeted we're in open discussion about the structure of the deal. Essentially this means we have agreement over the total figure (putting aside add ons) and are haggling over the payment plan. Despite what many think, transfer fees are often paid on installments rather than lump sum - helps with affordability and means fres can be spread accross more than 1 set of yearly accounts improving the financial look of the club. Presumably Bristol are pushing for a front loaded deal and we're looking to stage payments over a longet period. This is completely different and seperate to add ons. hopefully not long (crosses fingers)
