how many more pages between now and Weds? 10? 20? 30? and if we sign him?

I'd go with 50 if your posting 6 or more pointless comments on each page.

I didn't listen to Sven on Radio Leicester but was told he said that a deal for a striker could take 2 weeks, which suggests it won't be Maynard unless he wants 2. However on 5live he said he wants a striker and a wide player.

When asked if we'll get anyone in before Wednesday he said something along the lines of 'I hope so, and think so. One more striker might be out of the picture. Maybe. I fear it might take one or two weeks.'

He did say he was in for two strikers the other night so it would seem Maynard will still come in, and perhaps the other signing was always going to be a loan signing so it won't make a difference that it may take two weeks with regards to the window shutting.

I'm guessing the loan singing... if that's what he is... well his parent club might want to see if they can sell him first.....

Wonder how many pages if we don't sign him. :|

My biggest worry is someone like Swansea swooping in (no pun intended), they seem to be struggling to put the ball in the net.....

Not sure if they could afford him.

@Itkagent1962: As said last week Scott Parker is done. Just sorting out last minute financial details.

Maynard, #BCFC dragging their heels.

#THFC #WHUFC

really dont understand it, they are going to lose him for nothing at the end of the season and will no way be able to command £6m in January.

They need to stenghthen in other areas too, 6m would certainly help it's just so odd.

I agree, think it will happen but cant see what they gain from dragging their heels surely the quicker they sell him the more time they have to strengthen with the money

Perhaps there trying to **** us over, keeping us interested then Wednesday, not selling him, then we are ****ed as we've brought no striker in!!

We'd just get a loan in then.

Chill, bid goes in tomorrow don't it?

Errrrrrrrrrrrr........ No!

Go on the BBC website and listen again.

Stringer asks Sven whether he expects transfer action before Wednesday and Sven replies: "I hope so".

There is a bit more mumbling about Nugent's injury and Sven says: "... it may take more than 1 or 2 weeks".

I think he was talking about Nugent's fitness and NOT a striker taking 1 or 2 weeks.

He also got Nugent's name wrong didn't he (on 5 live interview). Maybe he did have an interest in 'la Fonza'?

I wouldn't be surprised if we got Maynard on loan with a view to permanent, if I'm honest.

That benefits Bristol in noway at all.

How would that work when he's only at Bristol for this season?

He'll be a free transfer come next may so there wouldn't be a transfer, he'd just be a free agent at the end of the loan.
