Guest Posted 26 August 2011 Posted 26 August 2011 I'm nitpicking, but you get more interest if you pay fully or in part by installments, rather than all at once. You could pay the full £6.5m up front and go without the interest that money would have generated in interest, or pay, say, £200k a month for a few years and still have millions in the bank, and the interest it brings in on top of it. I expect a lot of transfers are part up front fee, and part installments as a compromise between the buyer and seller. okay the point had already been made. sorry
bluearmyfox23 Posted 26 August 2011 Posted 26 August 2011 This is the only thing thts living in the transfer talk section everything else has died !!!
Collymore Posted 26 August 2011 Posted 26 August 2011 This fourth official talks as if they've been sat around the negotiating table all day! What's their story?
adam1 Posted 26 August 2011 Posted 26 August 2011 this isn't happening. mods close the thread. And you know this how? I have a brain. It allows me to think. So the mods should close the thread because YOU don't think it will happen? Well 49/50 pages in and nothing has happened. Guess I am right after all.
Northants Fox 3 Posted 26 August 2011 Posted 26 August 2011 Almost 50 pages of speculation and Bulls**t lol Make that 50
themotivator Posted 26 August 2011 Posted 26 August 2011 why hasnt this been merged with the others? the birth of the megathread was the most exciting thing about this saga. dont mind if it gets closed as long as its MASSIVE

adam1 Posted 26 August 2011 Posted 26 August 2011 Nickymaynardtransfersagatalk.co.uk I wonder how much that domain will cost 6.5 million + add ons and the rights to waghorn.co.uk
Guest Posted 26 August 2011 Posted 26 August 2011 we must be over 350 pages now. This is in danger of overtaking the Chebs thread...not sure how that makes me feel!
MPH Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Why is this the most complex transfer ever? I just think that its probably the same as most other transfers. Other than the fact we have some inside contacts and Twitter seems to of evolved how fans get to find out about transfers. 10 years ago we waited for the mercury. Yep even if you play FM you know not to pay the fee in full.... I always pay in full. we must be over 350 pages now. This is in danger of overtaking the Chebs thread...not sure how that makes me feel! There has never been a transfer target like it in our history. please see response no1 in this post.
Guest shearfox Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 I always pay in full. That is why you fail.
gazfox9 Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Anyone know if he's in the wurzels squad for today?
MC Prussian Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Anyone know if he's in the wurzels squad for today? "Nicky Maynard and Marvin Elliott will return to the starting-line up after being rested in midweek." http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/14600491.stm
ozleicester Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Nickymaynardtransfersagatalk.co.uk I wonder how much that domain will cost 6.5 million + add ons and the rights to waghorn.co.uk Just heard through Twitter.... the current owners of Nickymaynardtransfersagatalk.co.uk dont want to sell
Hinckleyfox Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 I'm new to this site and have only registered today so bear with me..... I'm seeeing a lot of posts like 'this is the most complicated transfer ever' etc etc. Just out of interest how many of the people saying stuff like this have actually been involved in a football transfer? How many of you ACTUALLY know whats involved in sorting it not to mention all the media stuff etc etc. So I ask the question if you dont know EXACTLY whats involved in a transfer, how on earth can you judge whether this is complicated or not? Have you ever sat at your desk at work knowing full well that the person on the other end of the phone is thinking 'how hard can it be?' and quite literally wanting to smack them in the face for being so condescending? How about we use this forum for its purpose of sharing info that is of interest rather than slagging off the very people who are trying to make it happen, I dont for 1 minute believe that they are choosing to drag anything out.

I agree with this entirely, I think it's just a bit tough for those who are itching with an entire close season of speculation and live and breathe the football and the struggling results that have been apparent through not having a choice striker set-up, not to become emotionally attached, allowing frustrations to get the better of their posting. The important thing to remember is that it's a bit daft to think the whole of the LCFC board, Sven and the players don't feel the same thing.

I'm as desperate to see Maynard in a city shirt as everyone on here but I bet I'm not as desperate as Sven and Top! One thing I will say (now I have cooled down !) is that I do understand everyone is frustrated especially after losing out on all the other striker targets we have had. On a positive note, I genuinely think we will get Maynard. No inside info just genuinely believe it.

New posters with a sense of patience and proportionality have been in short supply!
